“I cannot say enough wonderful things about A Place to Paws! From the moment we arrived, the staff made both myself and Bella feel completely comfortable and welcome!
The facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained, and it’s obvious that the team truly loves and cares for the animals.
During Bella’s stay, I received updates (photos and great emails from front desk, amazing!) and could tell she was getting plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. When I picked her up, she was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for — which gave me such peace of mind while I was away.
It’s hard to find a place you can fully trust with your furry family member, but this facility exceeded all expectations. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for caring, professional, and dependable dog boarding services. We will definitely be back!”

National Rescue Dog Day 🐾💚

Ways to celebrate:

🐾GIVE LOVE: Shower your rescue dog with love in the form of a leisurely walk, a delicious treat, a new toy, or just some extra cuddle time.

🐾ADOPT: Adopt a dog from a local shelter or a pure breed rescue group to save a life.

🐾FOSTER: Provide a temporary home for a rescue dog. Many dogs abandoned to shelters benefit from socialization, or would just thrive better away from the shelter environment. Others may need some medical care or rehabilitation in a home setting before an adoption can take place. This is also a great way to see if you’re ready to adopt and make the life-long commitment.

🐾HELP A SHELTER: Check your local shelter website to donate and to view their wish list of much needed items such as blankets, toys, treats, and leashes. You can also host a bake sale, car wash, or other event and donate the proceeds back to the shelter.

🐾VOLUNTEER: Help out at your local shelter. Taking dogs for walks, grooming, and giving them plenty of affection improves their socialization.

🐾SPAY/NEUTER: Be responsible for your pets. Overpopulation is the number one reason shelters exist.

🐾EDUCATE: Teach young children the importance of kindness, unconditional love, and responsible care of all animals.

🐾POST A PHOTO: Share a photo of your rescue dog on social media by using . Explain what makes your rescue dog special to inspire others to adopt!

Dog Daycare & Boarding: Us vs. Them 🐾

Not all dog boarding is actually designed for dogs. Some places are built for convenience.

Ours is built for your dog’s wellbeing. 🩷

Us: 👍
• Open-play all day with social interaction and exercise
• Indoor and outdoor play areas for real movement and stimulation
• Constant human interaction and supervision
• Meals included and served on your dog’s normal routine
• Medication administration is always included
• Clean, sanitized spaces designed for dog health
• Orthopedic beds and comfortable rest areas
• Scheduled rest time and treat breaks to prevent overstimulation

Them: 👎
• Dogs spend most of the day locked in crates or small kennels
• Exercise is limited to short potty breaks
• Very little human interaction throughout the day
• Food often costs extra (or must be brought from home)
• Medication administration usually comes with an added fee
• Crowded kennel environments where illnesses like kennel cough can spread
• Hard floors or minimal bedding for sleeping
• Long stretches alone with little structure or enrichment

Dogs aren’t meant to sit in cages all day. They deserve play, attention, comfort, and care.
