Wishlist Wednesdayyyy!🐾🐱

Our URGENT needs this week are:
* Fresh News cat litter: this type of cat litter is used for our little kittens and injured kitties. It is made out of recycling newspaper so it is the safest option for kittens and injured cats!
* Fortiflora: this is a powdered supplement to help manage our kitties stomach issues! It works wonders.
* Imuquin: Immune support supplements to help our kitties immune system.
* Pop-up cages: we DESPERATELY need more of these! We use these to put our kittens in if they’re waiting to be picked up for stores, for events, for our foster homes, or for transports. We are very very limited!!

WE NEED YOUR HELP‼️🥺

Today alone we welcomed in over 30 cats!!!🙀
30 cats and kittens were rescued just in ONE DAY!!

With this in mind, we are in DESPERATE need of a few times.
If anyone is able to donate, we could really use:

🐾 Pop-up cages. These are used for newly intake kittens while they wait for fosters, kennels, ect. They’re also used for events for our adoptable cats and kittens! And our foster homes use them.
We only have a couple left!!! And just today we had 18 KITTENS walk through our doors!!

🐾 Fresh News Cat Litter: Fresh News is cat litter made out of recycled news paper! This is great for tiny kittens and injured cats as it’s safer and easier to use.

🐾 Purina Pro Plan FortiFlora: This is a probiotic powdered supplement used to manage diarrhea and intestinal problems.

Every single one of these products is used daily at our shelter. This is the busiest kitten season we’ve had YET!

VOLUNTEER LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY!!!

We’re looking for a dedicated Volunteer Store Coordinator for our adoption location at Pet Supplies Plus in West Seneca!! 🐱💗

These leadership roles are an amazing way to get more involved with Ten Lives Club while making a direct impact. Keeping our offsite adoption locations running strong allows us to save more cats and connect them with loving homes across our community.

What you’ll do:
* Lead and support a wonderful team of volunteers
* Help keep your store location running smoothly
* Process adoptions
* Assist with social media for your location
* Transport kitties from our main shelter
* And of course… spend time loving on our adoptable cats

If you’re organized, passionate about animals, and ready to step into a volunteer leadership role, we’d love to talk with you!

Another busy morning rescuing, rescuing, and rescuing cats in need!!!

Since 10am we have rescued 14 cats and kittens.
Just within 2 hours, 12 kittens and 2 adults were rescued and brought to our shelter.

We welcomed in:
🐾 One stray kitten all alone outside with no mom in sight that has extreme eye infections in both eyes.
🐾 Another stray kitten that has potential worms.
🐾 2 newborn babies found outside all alone with no mom in sight.
🐾 4 kittens found in the floor boards of a barn and one has an extreme eye abscess that might need to be surgically removed.
🐾 One stray adult that was found outside and is blind and will needs lots of medical attention.
🐾 One stray male who was found on someone’s porch looking for love and help.
🐾 4 kittens found outside trying to walk up someone’s porch.

And it’s only NOON!!
14 cats in need were rescued and saved for a better chance at life and to soon be up for adoption.
And our surrender list is still full for the rest of the day!!
We will be welcoming in more and more cats and kittens to our care.

As most know, Ten Lives Club is a non-profit organization. We rely solely on donations to help every cat we welcome into our shelter.
That includes medications, antibiotics, treatments, surgeries, food, and litter.

If anyone is able to donate at this time it would truly be so helpful.
We have a full surrender list to welcome in 30 cats and kittens JUST TODAY!
And each one will need to be fully processed before adoption.

Teamwork in the rescue world is the only way to do it! We’re all in it for the animals! 🤍🙌❤️😻

This little girl was doomed to die. But a series of small acts of kindness saved her life.

She was found outside in great distress by a good Samaritan who brought her to Orchard Park Veterinary Medical Center on a Saturday night. The veterinary team recognized quickly that she was trying to give birth to a deceased kitten who was stuck in her birth canal. X-rays revealed three more kittens inside her, likely also deceased. She needed an emergency C-section, which would cost about $2300. She didn't have an owner so the doctor at the OPVMC was faced with the possibly of having to euthanize this otherwise healthy and sweet 3-year old cat.

But this doctor believes in miracles. She had her team make a call to a local rescue, which set off a chain of phone calls to other rescues, and very quickly the money was raised among many organizations, each contributing to her life-saving surgery. The hospital itself contributed $500 from their pet emergency fund and The SPCA Serving Erie County, NY, Ten Lives Club (with a personal contribution from their DVM, Dr. Sharon Fisk), a board member/volunteer of Hope For Cats, Inc., Better Together Pet Resource Center, and Slomba Shelter Solutions stepped up to lend their support to save this cat. Her surgery was swift and successful (she was also spayed) and she is now resting comfortably at the SPCA, on the road to recovery and eventual adoption.

This is a great example of how collaboration can move mountains in saving lives. And saving her is a great reminder of why we do what we do. It is also a perfect reminder of one of the many reasons spay/neuter is so important. Thanks to all who contributed to her amazing story.

We wanted to share Persia Ember’s story, a beautiful Calico who was just welcomed to our shelter today.

Persia was originally found outside months ago in the cold. But luckily, a wonderful person found her and welcomed her into their home.
For months, Persia was given a loving home with lots of comfort, care, food, and so much love.
But sadly, the rescuers cats were not accepting Persia. They would try to bully and fight her, and Persia had to be separated from them.
Due to this, Persia was brought to us for a better chance at finding a forever home.

We were told by her rescuer that she is just the sweetest girl. She loves cuddles, is a chatty Cathy, AND harness trained!
Persia loves going on little adventures and walks.
She’s the perfect girl! 💕
And now, we want to find her the perfect home.

Her perfect home would consist of a single-pet only home. One that would give her all the attention.
We aren’t quite sure how she is with other cats as her time with them was very limited and she was separated from them. But a single-pet home would probably be best for her. And one that is willing to give her lots of cuddles and adventures.

If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and adventurous kitty, Persia is your GIRL!!
She was so loved by her rescuer, and we want to continue that love with a wonderful forever home.

Once Persia is ready to find her new home, she will be posted on our website under “Adoptable Cats”.

Our 15 year old girl Peanut needs her guardian angel to help her live out the rest of her kitty years. ❤️

Peanut is a lovely and beautiful tabby girl who was brought to us due to her owner sadly passing.
And this sweet girl needs all the help she can get.

Peanut has kidney disease and suffers from arthritis. 💔
She is currently on special kidney food, specifically KD Hills Science Diet prescription dry food. And on Royal Canin KD wet food.
This has helped Peanut tremendously and has even helped her gain weight!
She is also on Solensia, which is a monthly injection to help the arthritis.

Poor Peanut is not thriving in our shelter. She currently is free roaming in our Director of Operations office all to herself because she does not get along with other cats.
And although she has a whole room to herself, we want to find her a whole house to have for herself. And a loving owner.
One that will give her constant love and attention.

If you have it in your heart to adopt an older special needs cat, Peanut is waiting for you.
She deserves a wonderful home to live out the rest of her years.

Ten Lives Club will supply up to a three month supply of kidney food and the monthly injection.
But her owner will need an established relationship with a veterinarian to ensure she is getting the best care for her medical conditions.
