BIG NEWS FROM Dog Squad Training!
We’ve been keeping a secret, and we just can’t hold it in any longer… Dog Squad is growing!

After countless requests and thoughtful discussions with our team and advisors, we’re thrilled to announce that Dog Squad Training is expanding to two new locations — Salt Lake City, UT and Riverside County, CA!

Here’s what you can expect:
In these new locations, we’ll be offering our signature Reactive Dog Seminars, Reactive Dog Pack Walks, Evaluations, Private Lessons, and Board and Train programs.

When is this happening?
The time is NOW! We’re already on the road, setting up shop in CA, and next, we’re heading to Salt Lake City, UT to get things rolling there.

Why are we expanding?
Our mission has always been to help as many dogs and their humans as possible. Thanks to our incredible team in Minnesota, we’ve created a safe, calm, and enriching environment for dogs of all kinds—including reactive, aggressive, and fearful dogs. Now, we’re ready to bring that same level of care and expertise to new communities.

How are we making this happen?
It’s taken long days, big risks, and the unwavering support of our amazing team. Oh, and let’s not forget our brand-new road companion — DOGZILLA! This beast of a vehicle is more than just eye-catching; it’s fully equipped to transport dogs, haul gear, and get us noticed in these new markets. With 6 Ruffland crates, space for a plug-in cooler, and all our essentials, DOGZILLA is helping us hit the road in style and function. He even has his own instagram account

We’re beyond excited for this next chapter and can’t wait to meet the dogs and people in these new communities. Stay tuned for more updates as we grow the Dog Squad family!

Cheri Wulff Lucas will be here hosting her Learn to Lead Workshop, May 16-18!! 😎🥳🤩

Learn to Lead is a 3 day workshop that was created for both professional trainers and civilian dog owners.This workshop is unique as it has both working and audit opportunities for students. You’ll leave this workshop knowing how to properly assess dog behavior as well as how to implement Cheri’s tools, techniques and strategies. You’ll learn Cheri’s foundational principles and how they can be easily integrated into your everyday life. Cheri teaches you how having a healthy relationship dynamic with your dog is critical for understanding their behavior.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Throughout the course of each day, every dog is worked with individually as other students observe. Each Learn to Lead is different based on the unique issues of the dog participants. You will see an amazing transformation of each dog over the course of the three day workshop!

A typical day at a Learn to Lead workshop begins at 9:00am and ends at 4:00pm. Occasionally class will run late. Lunch break is from 12:00pm to 1:30pm. You’ll receive a certification of attendance at the end of the workshop.

We’d love for you to join us and network with others who are as passionate as you are about dog behavior. Learn to Lead as you’ve never done before!

A moment of gratitude:

Thank you. We appreciate all of you. We are always trying to grow here at Blaine Kennels and Dog Squad Training. I don’t mean grow just as becoming a larger company, I mean grow as dog handlers, trainers, and human beings. Thank you for all of your patience this past year. We have been working hard to grow our team so that we can help more dogs and their people. We have also been focused on internal training and expanding our knowledge base by exposing ourselves and our team to the best trainers and mentors we can find. Doing this is expensive, but worth it. Our team is worth investing in. Thank you for helping us be able to do that.

Join us in congratulating our Head Trainer, Katy Breidel. Katy just returned from California where she completed the “Learn to Lead” 3 day workshop held by Cheri Wulff Lucas at her ranch. Katy was provided a dog by Angela Adan who was in need of intensive behavioral work. (Angela is the 3rd founder of Final Chance Animal Rescue).

Katy rocked it and took that dog through Cheri program like a BOSS! Cheri said it was one of the more intense dogs she has had in years. A great learning experience for both trainer and dog. Thank you Katy. You are a big part of what we do and who we are and we appreciate you.

What to expect: You’ll drop off your dog Friday afternoon/evening (or a selected week day) & they will spend 3 days with us. We will tailor each dog’s daily schedule to their individual needs, focusing on our core values:

👉🏼loose leash, follower-state of mind(pack drive) structured walks. This helps all behaviors but most importantly leash reactivity / aggression.
👉🏼Place work. Great for impulse control, anxiety, possession/guarding behaviors, separation anxiety, reactivity... so much!
👉🏼Crate Training. Our goal is to make the crate equal a calm, safe place. So many benefits here as well.

Each dog will have any additional issues worked on as needed - including:
confidence, dog/dog social experiences, pack walks, treadmill training, structured play, reactivity & introduction to muzzle training.

We follow the Follow - Play - Explore - Rest model so each dog will get fulfilled every day. Having them in a follower state of mind, then introducing play, then allowing them to explore, followed by some time to rest & truly take everything in that they have been learning.

You’ll be able to follow along on our stories on social media to see your dogs enjoying themselves throughout the weekend & we will have a go-home session to go over what your pup learned / what we worked on, when you pick them up so you can continue the work!
