🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE — All Activities Indoors Today🚨

Due to the current air quality emergency affecting the Twin Cities metro area, ALL outdoor activities at Blaine Kennels will be moved indoors today, Thursday, July 16th.

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) has issued an official Air Quality Alert through Friday, July 17th, and has expanded it to a Hazardous (Maroon) designation for our area due to heavy wildfire smoke. Current AQI readings for Blaine are reporting between 344–412, which falls in the Hazardous to Dangerous range — the highest category on the scale.

This applies to people AND pets. Dogs are especially sensitive to air quality and smoke particles, and we take their health just as seriously as we take their training. 🐾

What this means for your pup:
- All outdoor play yards and exercise time will be suspended today
- All enrichment, activities, and exercise will take place in our indoor spaces
- Your dog will still receive attentive care, enrichment, and training — just safely inside
