Start time 4pm - you may drop in any time between 4p & 8p! We know several folks will have splashes to finish up at Westrover, so no need to rush over to the farm.

With an earlier start time this weekend, the plan is to warm up new dogs doing some drag work before moving to the cart.

We will for sure have the rails available. Hopefully we can get our flat tire on the wheel cart fixed so we can offer it, as well.

The small practice cart will be available, too!

I have plenty of harnesses and sizes so, don't worry if you don't have your own right now.

Bring something your dogs loves! Food or toy, pet and praise.

Cross Creek Aussie Puppy Reunion

Testing & Try-its open to other owners and dog's, but Cross Creek owners will get preferred tests and runs first at a special price. The open entries for others are limited! So, please contact me first to claim a spot.

🐕 3p-4p: Canine Good Citizen and AKC Trick Dog Testing, all levels.
🪙$20 for first test for Cross Creek owners, $15 for each additional test
🪙$25 per test for all others

🐁4p-4:45p: RAT! Instinct Try-Its - Not barn hunt specific, but there are many rat sports your dog can play in now, and this will allow you to test your dog's Instinct on sniffing out the rat!
🪙$10 per dog for Cross Creek owners
🪙$15 per dog for others

🐇4:45p-5:30p: Lure Chase Instinct try it! Test your dog's natural instinct to chase a lure! Great for trying out for FastCAT, CAT, and other lure based activities.
🪙$5 per dog for Cross Creek owners, 2 runs
🪙$10 per dog for others, 2 runs

I'll then be popping over to Willowbrook Farms immediately after!

Harnesses of many sizes will be available, so don't stress not having your own.

Cost is $20/per dog.

What to bring:
- A standard flat collar
- A standard leash
- Something that your dog loves (can be a toy or food)

We'll discuss the use of all of these things in training for those who are new.

Oh crap!

Results for last weekend's Summer Bites have been sent in. It may take longer than usual for them to process since UpDog is out of office.

We've applied for a mini event on August 25th, so mark that pending.

Weight pull practice announcement!

This Saturday, 7/20 at Willow Brook Farm!

Weigh in will start at 3pm.

You do not have to b arrive by 3pm to come play! That's just when we'll be starting.

If the rain holds off, we can do rails and natural wheels.

If it rains, we will be inside the barn on artificial wheels.

If you're new and have no idea what those things mean, that's okay! We'll explain and get you guys started.

Harnesses of many sizes will be available, so don't stress not having your own.

Cost is $20/per dog.

We're approved for Bite Club this season!

Bite Club will meet on Sundays at 3:30pm. If you're in dock league, as well, don't stress! Our field is next to our dock, and we will be sure everyone gets in their games and splashes!

We're all set for tomorrow's UpDog Games!

Where:

125 Aspen Ln
Odenville, AL

For those who have not been to our regular field here, please do not park at the house. Come down the driveway past the house and you'll find parking by the training barn, dock, and disc field.

Our field is lovely, green grass and FULLY enclosed.

Start Time: 8:30am

We will be starting with Frizgility and the other Crossover games.

We'll roll into disc only games after crossovers.

Freestyle handlers, we'll determine when to perform routines in a briefing tomorrow.

While we are offering 2 rounds per game, please be mindful of the heat tomorrow. We want all dogs and handlers to be safe!

We have a large tree that provides pretty decent shade throughout the day, 2 tents, 2 kiddie pools, a cooler of waters, electrolyte powders for waters, and Chris Sides will be booking fun splashes on the dock for anyone interested.

Friendly reminder that we are out in the sticks. There is no cell service on the field. If you're on AT&T, you can pick up some coverage inside the barn.

Toss & Fetch League start date will be pushed to Monday this week due to weather.

The field will be too slick to be safe to play in tomorrow. We should have sun all day Monday, so by the time we can meet, it should be dry enough.
