Come join us on July 22nd between 12pm and 3pm for an Ice Cream Social in partnership with Big Dipper Ice Cream! We will have a few flavors of ice cream provided by Big Dipper Ice Cream for people and some Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream treats for all the furry friends. It will take place in the Day Camp area and all leashed pets are welcome! We're looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Day Camp will be closed all day on the 22nd for the event.

We recently received a few different products from Nutrisource! We ended up with their full line of canned foods and their Choice series of kibble. Both are at a great price!

Did you know?

Cats evolved as desert dwellers! A cat's natural diet is roughly 75%
moisture. The average kibble diet is only 10% moisture. Couple that
fact with their low thirst drive, and we have a major issue with lack of
hydration.

Give your cat a reason to drink water and keep it from getting stale with a fountain! I know my cats love their fountain (bedside water glasses still remain their favorite however).

Another option is to opt for more moisture rich foods such as canned or raw.

Also, with our amazing customers, we were able to donate $120 to Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter with cat supply purchases made during the month of June!

Update: Lizzie has been adopted!

We're down to the last week of June which means our last shelter cat of the week! Everyone meet Lizzie! She's ready to find her furever home so she doesn't have to stay in the shelter.

"Lizzie is a 1-year-old Domestic Longhair cat longing for a home of her very own! This sweet mama raised four kittens that were born at the shelter when she came in as a stray. Lizzie is curious, young at heart, and ready to explore. She would make an excellent indoor/outdoor cat as she loves to bask in the sun and walk around the yard to see what is going on. Lizzie is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccinations, and microchipped. She was very stressed staying in the shelter so her original foster family is having her stay at their home so she can be as comfortable as possible. To arrange to meet Lizzie, please contact her foster family directly at 406-698-9417. Help us find this sweet lady her fur-ever home!"

I'm definitely excited for this new line of product we just got in! My dogs go absolutely bonkers for their Benebone products. A great product for keeping your pup stimulated for hours while also helping to keep their teeth (at least for the dental chew).

Shelter Cat of the Week!

This weeks cat holds a special spot for me. If you know me, you'd know I have a soft spot for senior pets. They all deserve a loving home to live out the rest of their remaining days in happiness.

Don't forget it's flea and tick season! Our groomers have already found ticks on a few dogs, so don't wait to get your flea and tick protection if your friend spends time outside. It's also a good idea to have some minor medical supplies in case of small cuts/abrasions!

Did you know...

Summer is a great time to transition your dog (or cat) to a raw diet!

The added moisture helps to rehydrate after a long day of play. Along with it being easier to digest and overall healthier, this allows your Pup to enjoy the long days of summer playing with plenty of energy. The added benefit of a healthier skin/coat helps during those days of water and mud exploration.

Just a reminder, even slowly adding raw to your dogs diet such as with a kibble topper, treats, or breakfast/dinner helps! Come in and talk to your Dee-O-Gee specialist if you have any questions!

Update: After almost 2 months at YVAS, Margarita was finally able to find her family!!!

We're back with another shelter cat of the week, Margarita! Those gorgeous eyes are just waiting to fill your home with a new cuddle buddy.
