The day I left town, two girlie crias (baby alpacas) were born.
Without our son Kevin coming up our lane and seeing them, we wouldn’t have known they were even born!
Looking back on cameras, one was born at noon and the second one at 3:45 pm.
Friends and family!
Without them my little Dollie wouldn’t be around as her first-time mama hasn’t wanted to nurse her and I’m not there to assist.
Toni has been remarkable, and she and Stetsyn saved Dollie’s life by intervening from the beginning. Although full-term, she weighed in around 10 pounds and needed her mama, Breeze, to be “milked” for the colostrum to be given within the first 24 hour period! Toni camped out two nights with these girls.
Nicole too! She’s been helping with feedings and the caring of Oprah and the girlies.
And Kevin and Izzy. Cleaning, watering and putting coats in and taking them off and shoveling 💩.
Alpaca friends are amazing. Going above and beyond for the love of sweet alpacas and for me when I can’t be there.
So much appreciation and love and support. No words.
