Riding Lesson Information
Join us for lessons and horseshow with us this summer!
Our riding instructors are now accepting new students for casual riding and those who are interested in showing with us this summer. Learn about our instructors!
Liz is accepting new students for Hunter Under Saddle, Western Pleasure and Western Horsemanship, Western Trail, Showmanship and leadline (western or English).
Catey is accepting new students for English leadline, hunters and hunter/jumpers.
Liz is PRF Hunter Under Saddle and Western riding instructor. Liz is an instructor with 35 years of experience in horses and she is certified by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International ( PATH INTL.) as an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning. Liz has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and uses her extensive training in both human and horse psychology to guide her teaching style.
Liz has show experience as a youth rider in the Hunter Ring on her AQHA Appendix Quarter Horse and experienced great satisfaction in training and bringing along her horse as a young rider. As an adult, Liz has experience showing more locally in Hunter Under Saddle, Western Pleasure, Western Horsemanship, Western Trail and Showmanship and has very much enjoyed supporting her daughters growth as young horsewomen. She remains a big fan of the American Quarter Horse!
Liz is also the leader for our newly forming Pine Ridge Farm 4-H Club. If you have interest in joining this club please reach out! Spaces are limited.
Catey is PRF English Hunter and Hunter/Jumper instructor. Catey is a senior at Lehigh University with an extensive show background in IEA and IHSA showing. Catey is a member of the Lehigh University Equestrian team and is skilled in sharing her knowledge with beginner students through the more advanced Hunter/Jumpers.
In addition to Catey’s extensive show background and experience, she is currently training her off- the- track young thoroughbred for the Hunter ring- and he is doing great!
Although Catey plans to pursue medical school in the future, we are thrilled that she has agreed to use her well -deserved break from academics to support local students in their riding and showing!
Emelie is the barn owner and operator. She is personally responsible for the care of all of our beautiful boarders and lesson horses. The careful caretaking that our horses receive is a full time job- so Emelie is not currently accepting new riding students.
Come take advantage of the training, education, and experience of our instructors at the only barn in Bethlehem (which also happens to be the friendliest!)
