Amann Sowell Photography Contest – Now through July 11
In honor of Amann Sowell, a beloved local photographer, Sustainable Berea invites you to participate in the Amann Sowell Photography Contest.
Capture what you love most about Berea Urban Farm—plants, people, pollinators, or the changing landscape. Submit up to three original, high-resolution photos for a chance to be featured and win prizes.

U-Pick Flowers Program – Saturdays, June 15 through August 30
(No session on Saturday, July 5)
Enjoy the farm's beautiful, ever-changing selection of seasonal blooms. Create your own bouquet and learn the basics of flower arranging in a peaceful, hands-on environment.
Time: Saturdays, 9:00–11:00 AM (arrive between 9:00–10:00 AM)
Cost: $12 per bouquet (includes a vase)

Home Composting Workshop – Friday, June 14, 10:00–11:00 AM
Led by Richard Olson, this practical workshop teaches you how to turn everyday food and yard waste into rich compost. Great for gardeners and anyone looking to reduce household waste.

Seed Saving Workshop – Saturday, June 21, 10:00 AM–1:00 PM
Learn how to harvest, process, and store seeds from your own garden. Kelsey Cloonan will guide participants through the fundamentals of seed saving with tips tailored to our climate.

Medicinal Plants and Play – Saturday, June 21, 10:30 AM–12:00 PM
Children ages 2–7 are invited to explore healing plants through play with educator Sacha Louise. Bring a stuffed animal or doll for hands-on First Aid role play. A fun and interactive way to learn about nature’s remedies.
