IN MEMORY OF A DEDICATED K9 PARTNER:

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office, with heavy hearts, would like to inform our community of the passing of retired Patrol K9 Tango.

K9 Tango served the Madison County Sheriff’s Office from October 2020 until his retirement in April 2024; alongside his handler Deputy Jeremey Hamilton.

K9 Tango passed away on Friday January 17th, 2025 after the sudden onset of an illness. K9 Tango was an imported ten year old male Belgian Malinois certified in criminal apprehension, narcotics detection, tracking and article location.

During K9 Tango’s career, with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, he quickly proved himself as a proficient and effective patrol canine. K9 Tango is credited with making a significant and positive impact on the citizens of Madison County.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank Dr. Michael Putnam, D.V.M and the caring staff at Richmond Veterinary Clinic for their numerous years of providing expert and compassionate care to K9 Tango.

During this time, we humbly ask our community to keep Deputy Hamilton and his family in their prayers as they grieve the loss of K9 Tango; a dedicated partner and loyal companion.
