A great reminder!
Just another reminder of why spaying our dogs is so important.
Mae came to us from Corbin, Kentucky, and unfortunately, she was not spayed before coming into our care. Before we could get her scheduled for her routine spay, she developed pyometra, a serious and potentially life-threatening infection of the uterus.
Mae is now at the vet undergoing emergency surgery to save her life. What should have been a routine spay has turned into an emergency procedure, simply because she was not spayed soon enough.
This was a completely unexpected medical expense for Daisy Tails, and we are now trying to raise $500 to help cover the cost of Mae’s emergency surgery and care.
If you’re able to donate, even $5 or $10 makes a difference and will help us continue saying YES to animals like Mae who need us.
We are so thankful we were able to get Mae the medical attention she desperately needed. Please keep this sweet girl in your thoughts as she goes through surgery and recovery. ❤️
Spaying and neutering isn’t just about preventing unwanted litters. It can save their lives.
Thank you for always supporting Daisy Tails and helping us care for these animals when they need us most. 🐾
