New York Bully Crew is a 501c3 not-for-profit rescue organization founded in December 2010. We specialize in rescuing Pitbulls, however no animal in dire need of rescue is turned away. NYBC strives to bring positive attention to the most loyal breed one could encounter, and give second chances to those who have been discarded by humans simply because of what they are…a Pitbull. Finding

loving and responsible homes for each and every rescue is our main objective. We at NYBC firmly believe that there are NO bad dogs, just bad owners, and educating the public is a must if the bully breeds are to have a chance of survival in today’s society. Aside from rehabilitating and placing our rescues in a safe environment, another priority for the NYBC is to inform the public of the despicable acts against Pitbulls that go on everyday. Dog fighting, and the cruelties associated with it, is a huge problem in the world of Pitbulls. This horrific “sport” can alter a dog’s wonderful temperament into a fearful, scarred, possibly aggressive animal that can be viewed as a danger and threat to society. At no fault of their own, these loving, intelligent, athletic and incredibly loyal dogs are being prosecuted by the masses, when the real culprits are the people who put them in these horrible situations. Unfortunately, these circumstances have many dogs finding themselves in kill shelters that utilize inhumane methods of euthanasia. This dreadful situation is compounded by negative attention in the media. Because of this, we will continue to advocate for the breed, and educate the public about these issues. For over 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀, Luca has been patiently hoping for a home to call his own.

Now five years old, Luca isn’t just incredibly handsome, he has a one-of-a-kind smile thanks to his adorable cleft lip. And no, it doesn’t affect him one bit when it comes to eating, drinking, or enjoying life.

But what Luca truly needs isn’t perfection… it’s 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻.

After challenges in his previous home, Luca is looking for an experienced, patient adopter who understands that some dogs just need a little extra guidance and structure. He can have some behavioral quirks, but in the right home, one that sets clear boundaries and gives him time to decompress, Luca has potential to thrive.

Because underneath it all?

He loves people.
He loves being outside.
He loves his walks.

And he’s been waiting far too long for someone to see past the label and into his heart.

𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗩𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗼𝗴𝗵 💔

Tomorrow, Van Gogh will undergo the high-risk surgery we shared with you about earlier this week.

As the surgeon explained, there is still approximately a 50/50 chance. A 50% chance that he makes it through surgery and gets the opportunity to continue fighting. A 50% chance that he does not survive, or could be left permanently paralyzed.

Those odds are terrifying.

But Van Gogh deserves a chance.

As if this wasn’t enough for him to face, the foster who had committed to caring for him after surgery is no longer able to do so.

So now, while preparing for the biggest day of Van Gogh’s life, we are also trying to navigate what comes next if he pulls through.

The truth is, we don’t know what the future holds for Van Gogh.

What we do know is that we cannot give up on him without trying.

He has overcome so much already. He has fought through unimaginable pain, multiple surgeries, and more obstacles than any dog should ever have to endure.

Tomorrow, he faces his biggest battle yet.

✨ 𝗞𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿… 𝘆𝗲𝘁 𝗵𝗲’𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴. ❤️

When Kazan arrived at the Miami shelter in April 2024, his future looked devastatingly short.

He had osteosarcoma; bone cancer.

To save his life, his leg had to be amputated. Most dogs never get a second chance after a diagnosis like that… but Kazan did.

A vet tech involved in his care fell in love with him and stepped up to foster him while he recovered. That one act of kindness changed everything for him.

Because today?

𝗞𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻. 🤍

And if you’ve ever met him, you know just how special he is.

Kazan is such a little superstar. He is incredibly social, absolutely loves people, enjoys the company of other dogs, and never lets having three legs slow him down. Everywhere he goes, he wins hearts.

He has continued to thrive, love life, and prove everyone wrong. He truly is a symbol of resilience, hope, and second chances.

💔 But despite all of that…

He’s still waiting.

Due to a serious illness within his foster family, they can no longer keep Kazan. This is not a choice they wanted to make, and we know how deeply loved he is.

Now, this incredible boy urgently needs a new foster or forever home in either South Florida or New York.

After everything Kazan has survived, we desperately want to keep him from losing the stability and love he finally found.

Please help us give this boy the future he fought so hard for.
