On Wednesday morning, 12 members of the US Coast Guard helped with projects on the farm.
They replaced the old wooden railroad ties surrounding our swing set with new stone pavers (thank you Bellingham Lowe’s for donating those), cleaned up sticks and manure in the back pasture, cleaned stalls, and groomed the horses.
Thank you for all of your help!

Today Julia and Hilary took the 6-year-olds to a working equitation clinic at Sunset Farm, our beautiful local horse park.
These opportunities are so important for developing our young horses versatility, curiosity, and fitness.
Thank you to Friends of Sunset Farm, Whatcom County Dressage and Eventing Association, and Kim Roe for hosting a fabulous clinic!

On Wednesday, the Bellingham Parks and Recreation Volu-Teens camp came out to the farm.
Despite the rainy weather, this crew happily helped with barn chores and cleaning up our arena equipment and props.
Other highlights included a demonstration from our farrier and spending time hanging out with the horses.
Thank you so much for your help and good attitudes!
