Farm stand is loaded with fruit veggies and garlic. Swing on by and pick up some of the freshest most delicious fruit in the county. We have plums, pears, apples, and a lot of unusual berries available for you pick. Fresh stuff being picked every day. New flavors added as they become ripe. Hope to see you soon! Harvested another couple of beds of garlic on Monday by dynamic root day. Getting ready to fill orders as soon as they are cured and processed. Don’t delay get your order in today. Spanish Roja, Purple glazer, Crystal Inspiration, and Inchilum red.

This is from a reading I did at “Rooted in Resilience” event on Saturday. I don’t normally write pros or poems, but I felt inspired to put this together. It was a good event, although not well attended we were able to network within the organizations that did show up. Thanks to Kulshan Carbon Trust for putting on this event, thanks to Regenerate Whatcom for presenting as well.

Water is life, water is glue, carbon is a building block of all life too.

Water knows how to create a resilient world. Do you?

Save the trees, feel the breeze, slowly infiltrating rain to sustain… all life

Stop the tilling killing, build Soil and Soul to feed all of us.

Here in the great North wet we tend not to fret, and yet….

We see the change…

Fires, floods, droughts, all sides of the same coin. It’s time to stop destroying.

Natural systems balance the climate, There’s no denying it.

To create abundance you must paint some green, stop the crazy killing machine!

By Planting the rain, life can sustain.

To Pull us back from the Brink we must think… and act succinct.

Our heart and hands know what to do, just need to follow it through.

Do you want to live?… Find out what you have to give!

What would our ancestors do? And you?

Rebuild a relationship with water, and let her steer the ship.

Water is life, Water is love, treat her with respect.

We went out and harvested piles of garlic scapes this morning here atInspiration Farm. It’s a root day bio dynamically speaking. Come get your garlic scape fix while supply lasts. Great for garlic, scape pesto, garlic scape pickles, stirfry garlic scape or we’re gonna try beer, battered, deep, fried garlic scapes. Yum!
