Looking for the perfect partner this summer? Grand Champion Show Stables is excited to offer a quality selection of schoolmasters and hunter prospects available for summer lease, on-farm lease, and sale.
Each of these horses has been an integral part of our lesson program and has served as an IHSA team horse, successfully carrying riders of all sizes, shapes, experience levels, and riding styles. They have proven themselves to be invaluable assets to our program through their reliability, versatility, and forgiving nature. Most importantly, they are SAFE—both at home and on the road—and have consistently demonstrated the kind of temperament and work ethic that allows riders to learn, grow, and succeed with confidence.

Lucky – 17H Warmblood Gelding, 12 Years Old
The definition of versatile. Lucky has successfully taught everyone from beginner riders learning to walk and trot on the luge line through adult equitation and hunter competitors. Comfortable canter, flying changes, extensive show experience, and jumps up to 2'9". A reliable kick ride with a heart of gold.
Squishy – 17H Quarter Horse Gelding, 16 Years Old
A beautiful-moving schoolmaster with an extensive show record. W/T/C and jumps up to 2'3". Requires leg but is responsive and enjoyable to ride. Perfect for advanced beginners while remaining fun for more experienced riders. Simple changes only.
Peyton – 16.1H Appendix Gelding
Our beginner extraordinaire! Peyton is the definition of SAFE, SAFE, SAFE. W/T/C, poles, crossrails and can lunge. No spook, extensive show experience. A confidence-builder for riders of all ages. Maintenance required, nothing crazy.
Willow – Aged Large Quarter Pony Mare
An incredible first pony with a saintly personality both at home and at shows. W/T/C, poles, and crossrails, can lunge. Zero prep, zero drama, and endless confidence. Simple changes only. The perfect partner for young kids or petite adults.

Calando – 18H Warmblood Gelding
A truly special horse with a long and successful show career, including notable equitation, hunter derby, and jumper victories. Quiet, kind, forgiving, and easy off the leg. W/T/C, poles, and crossrails. Loves teaching riders how to jump and is often an adult rider's first introduction to horses. Has flying changes and would also excel as a low-level dressage partner. Some age-appropriate maintenance, but nothing excessive considering his size, record, and experience. True gentle giant.
Chocolate – 16.2H OTTB Gelding
A seasoned schoolmaster with an extensive show record. W/T/C and jumps up to 2'. Has flying changes and plenty of mileage teaching riders to develop consistency and confidence. Starts as a kick ride but carries a beautiful rhythm once going.
