We seek to provide an environment where families can learn, explore, and appreciate God’s creation.

Through animal encounters, educational experiences, and time spent in the beauty of the outdoors, we aim to nurture a sense of gratitude for all God made. We are a family-owned zoo near Bellefontaine, just northwest of Columbus! Private tours are $20 a person for small groups, but for larger groups please reach out to us for group pricing. Did you know:
🦘Kangaroos cannot walk or hop backwards? Their large feet and tail inhibit any kind of backward movement. They have to fully turn around if they want to go the other direction!

Mel, Sydney and Gingersnap are all apart of our little troop here at En Gedi Ridge Zoo. Gingersnap has become close with the other roos and it just warms our hearts!

Since AI is all the new craze now, can you figure out which of these pictures of Rocky and Apollo are AI or the real deal?? 😉

🐈‍⬛🐱Everyone loves our boys, Rocky and Apollo, but they’re more than just cute faces. They keep out unwanted pests that could bring diseases, or just eat all the feed. Being the confident boys that they are, they also keep away any strays from the property, further protecting our animals. Consider them our heads of security at the zoo!

Update: they’re all REAL! Though AI is big, we still want to share authentic images of our animals. (And we just have some REALLY good photographers💃🏼)

🦓Ever wanted to be an arms length away from a zebra? Well you can be! At En Gedi Ridge zoo, our herd of 4 has become quite familiar with our guests and enjoy interacting with everyone. (As long as you’re calm, of course!😉)

Did you know there is a species of zebra called the mountain zebra? They have hard, pointed hooves that allow them to climb steep rocky slopes of South Africa, Namibia, and Angola! None of our patterned pals at En Gedi are of this species, but they sure are beautiful, aren’t they?

❄️ It’s time to bundle up! ❄️

Many people wonder what we do for colder months. Well, the zoo is open year round! We are in the process of planning some holiday events, but do accept private tours! Just remember to wear some extra layers during this season. It can get pretty chilly in the barns!

So grab your favorite hat and gloves🧤
