⚡️ We Have POWER! ⚡️

After several days without electricity, we're happy to say the lights are back on at Illinois Horse Rescue! Thank you to everyone who checked on us, offered help, shared our posts, donated, and kept us in your thoughts. A special thank you to the Beecher Fire Department for bringing us water while we were without power. ❤️

HUGE shout out to Beecher FD for reaching out to us yesterday and offering to bring us water!

Today they saved the day! We have every bucket and trough filled again! With a little extra play water for the ducks. Who once the truck left went right to the puddles!

Update...our amazing volunteers and been working. The 4 beautiful trees got cleaned up from Mondays storms.

We still have no power and the update is now not till Friday and over 150 animals need water. You get creative on gathering water. Trying to keep our heads up and stay positive and find the adventures in this week. Also HUGE thank you to the 6 people who donated yesterday! $295. Every $ adds up!

Yesterday's storm came through our rescue and showed us just how powerful Mother Nature can be. There were definitely moments when it was hard not to feel discouraged. As a nonprofit, every unexpected repair and expense is a challenge, and with volunteers already hard to come by, it can feel overwhelming.

But after the initial frustration faded, we reminded ourselves of something important: the work will get done. Work on a farm is never-ending, and every obstacle is just another part of the journey. Most importantly, everyone is safe. While we did sustain some damage, we are incredibly thankful it wasn't worse, and our hearts go out to those who were hit even harder by the storm.

At this time, we are also without power, so our response to phone calls and emails will be very limited until service is restored. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

We know we never face these challenges alone. Time and again, our amazing supporters have stepped up when we've needed them most. If you're able to help, whether through a donation, volunteering, or simply sharing our mission, your support means the world to us and to the horses in our care.
