𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁?
I started volunteering at Forward Stride in March 2022, crazy how time flies when you are having fun!
I volunteer at FS because I find it very therapeutic, it allows me to live in the present.
I love coming out to the barn to move my body, hug horses and see how others enjoy their time here.
I have learned so much at FS and found myself here, I am forever grateful to this organization.

💖 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵. 💖

Working in Tandem is our mentoring program for youth who have been adopted or are currently in the foster care system. 100% of mentees (foster and adopted youth) participate at 𝗻𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁 to their families, thanks entirely to the support of our donors.

🐴 We are so proud of our horses! This past weekend, one of our longest-serving therapy horses, Dusty, was awarded the PATH Intl. Region 9 Equine of the Year. His owner, and Forward Stride Program Director, Amanda Garrison, accepted the award. This award recognizes his many years of dedicated and exceptional service to our community.

We love Dusty! 🏆

I have been volunteering here for about a year. I didn't even know Forward Stride existed until I was searching for something else on the internet and it just popped up in my search results. A therapeutic equine riding facility 10 minutes from my house? Huh? They have volunteer opportunities? Huh? Either Google has a great search engine or it was divine intervention. I choose to believe the latter! This facility is a blessing to all.
