Agave Dogs Rescue Agave Dogs rescues adoptable shelter dogs and finds them loving homes in Oregon and Washington 🐾🐕💚 So we jumped into action and haven't stopped since.

Agave Dogs Rescue was founded in 2017 after seeing constant pleas on social media from shelters and rescuers in Texas and other Southern states for help with their dog overpopulation crisis. Dogs dumped on the side of the road, dogs minutes from euthanasia unless a rescue tagged them, dogs enduring years of hardship and neglect with owners who didn't or couldn't care for them. We knew the Pacific

Northwest had an extensive demographic of amazing dog lovers willing to offer homes and their hearts to dogs in need. Our Mission:
Agave Dogs rescues adoptable, homeless dogs from areas overwhelmed with pet overpopulation and finds them loving, permanent homes in Oregon and Washington. We assist dogs at risk for euthanasia in high kill shelters and strays found on the street by out of state rescuers. We rescued 6 month old Wallen off the euthanasia list at a crowded California shelter a little over a week ago. It's hard to fathom that puppies are at risk in our nation's shelters.

Wallen is 34 pounds currently and has been fostered with lots of other dogs of all sizes. He's a playful, curious kid ready for someone to invest love and training into him 💙

Dumpling spent 11 months in an outdoor Texas shelter and is finally enjoying living indoors in her Vancouver, Washington foster home 💓

We think Dumpling is likely a 2 year old, Shar Pei mix and she's TINY at just 22 pounds.

Dumpling thrives on dog friends who love to play! She would enjoy another doggie pal in her future home.

Cats unknown. Happy, enthusiastic pup eager to be loved.

Sassy got to visit the pumpkin patch and see what all the Halloween hype is about - so fun! 🎃

Sassy would love a quiet home who will take her out on walks and she's excellent on car rides!

Has never had a potty accident while in foster. Crate trained. Good with other dogs and likely fine with cats.

Sassy was a stray momma dog and someone took her puppies and left Sassy behind.

Benny is such a resilient little dog! He's fully healed up after gunshots from a cruel person broke both of his front legs. It took months to heal but he's getting around great. He often sits and walks upright but also uses all four legs.

• 15 pounds and 2.5 years old •

Benny is a Velcro pup that loves to stick close to his person and cuddle up.

Freedom Ride Friday 🙏🙏🙏

Dumpling has been in an outdoor Texas shelter for 11 months now. She was adopted out then dumped by her adopter at a different shelter, very thin with ribs showing (see last photo.) Her adopter obviously had not fed her regularly. Dumpling's original shelter went and picked her up from the shelter she had been dumped at and brought Dumpling back to their shelter.

Can you help sponsor Dumpling's $250 transport from Texas to Oregon? She arrives to us tomorrow.

Pillsbury has come so far from the broken leg, sad boy in a crowded California shelter in the first photo. He is fully healed now and getting around well as a tripod. He does zoomies and enjoys playing with other dogs in his foster home.

Pillsbury is wonderful with other dogs big and small and he's fostered with cats and is polite towards them.

Pillsbury can be a little shy with new people but treats help him warm up fast. He's a total snuggle bug! Kids ages 12+ if there are children in the home. He thrives in a calmer home setting.

Gunny is such a gem of a Heeler! Someone will be very lucky to have this sweet boy as their new best friend 🌟

• Approximately 2-3 years old
• 44 pounds
• Social with people
• Softer temperament and readily rolls over for belly rubs
• Excellent with other dogs
• Cats unknown
• Likely fine with gentle kids although we have not seen him with children yet
• No potty accidents in foster so far
• Can be crated but doesn't love it and tends to whine some
• Knows sit and down
• Sleeps on a dog bed in the bedroom with the humans and is good through the night
• Nice medium energy. Follows you everywhere and wants to be close. Settles nicely in the home.
• Not barky so far
• Good for baths
• Lower to medium toy drive. Will fetch a few times and bring it back with encouragement.
• Smart boy who is eager to work for treats!
• Likes a cuddle on the couch
