We're less than two weeks away from our FREE vaccine clinic, hosted in conjunction with Mitten Mutts Dog Rescue!

🐾 The shelter will be CLOSED on Saturday the 11th to accommodate volunteer and clinic traffic.

🐾 As with prior events, this will be a drive up service. We will begin at 1pm, and ask that you PLEASE do not begin lining up before noon - doing so will block volunteers and individuals who need to get into the fairgrounds. Showing up too early WILL result in you being politely asked to move or leave by a public safety officer - we will not tolerate any of the rudeness to our volunteers that we encountered at the spring event. You will enter through the second (north) set of gates to the fairgrounds (800 Livingston) and we will have signage and volunteers directing traffic.

🐾 Please bring proof of Bay County residency with you (license, ID, or recent utility bill/paystub). If you are bringing a pet for somebody else who cannot attend, please bring their address and contact information, or we will not be able to issue vaccine proofs in their name.

🐾 For safety reasons, please make sure dogs have on a well-fitting collar and leash, and that cats are in a secure carrier. Please notify volunteers if your pet has any aggression or handling issues. There is no limit to the number of pets per household, but please be reasonable - we typically have the time, supplies, and staffing to vaccinate between 400 and 500 animals, and want to service as many households as possible.

🐾 Pets may receive combo vaccines starting at the age of 6 weeks, and rabies vaccines at no younger than 12 weeks. We are offering DAPP for dogs, RCP +Ch for cats, and 1-year rabies for both.

🐾 There is NO CHARGE for vaccine or microchipping services at this event. However, donations are welcome - cash donations may be made to the rescue to go towards event costs, or pet food will be gladly accepted for our community pantry.

See you on the 11th!

Big thanks going out to the Michigan Department of Corrections - they collected donations for some of the shelters who have dogs in the various prison training programs across the state, and dropped off some of their collected goodies for our adoptables today!

Our supermodels are ready to start the search for their forever home!

Iman and Naomi are bonded sisters, approximately 10 months old, who we are hoping to keep together ❤️ These girls are curious, independent, but not super high-energy for their age. They would likely do ok in a household with older kids or one or two other kitties, but are NOT a fan of dogs and will need a canine-free home. Think you might be the perfect landing spot for this exotic-looking pair of ladies? Applications are available in our office, or can be submitted by email via the county website 🐾
