We will be closed Monday as our family gathers to attend the funeral of Ava Manley.
On Sunday, August 9, Ava was tragically killed at the age of 24. The attack occurred in broad daylight at approximately 2:00 p.m. at her apartment complex.
In her final moments, Ava fought courageously for her life. She tried desperately to escape and, even while she was the one in need of help, acted selflessly to avoid placing anyone else in danger. The horrific violence she faced must not be minimized or forgotten.
However, this tragedy will not be allowed to define Ava or the life she lived. She will be remembered for her courage, her selflessness, and the love she shared with those around her. Her absence will be felt beyond measure, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and everyone who knew and loved her.
