Tuesday, we had to say goodbye to Amber.

Amber’s Story ❤️🐾

Before she came to us, Amber had already endured so much. She was abandoned, brought to the A.W.S.O.M. Animal Shelter, adopted, and sadly, once again abandoned. But thanks to the kind people who found Amber and brought her to AWSOM, she was safe and cared for while waiting for her forever home.

In 2022, Amber came home to our family. At about 8 years old, she was already considered a senior dog. For almost four years, she finally knew what it meant to be safe, cherished, have friends, and truly belong.

Amber was a survivor. A hero. And her story represents the countless shelter animals still waiting for someone to choose them.

They are not broken. They are survivors waiting for a chance to love and be loved.

If you’re considering adoption, please remember the older, scared, and overlooked ones. Give a survivor a chance.

Thank you to everyone who helped Amber along her journey and gave her the chance to find us. ❤️

Rest peacefully, sweet Amber. You were deeply loved. 🌈🐾

If anyone has extra linens they’re willing to part with, I’d love to help get them into the hands (and paws) of animals who truly need them. Donations go directly to A.W.S.O.M., where they make a real difference in comfort and care.
I’m in the Bangor area and happy to make it easy; whether that means meeting up somewhere, coming to you, or coordinating a quick drop-off. Every little bit helps these babies feel a little more safe and cared for.

AWSOM supporters! Our sweet handsome boy Ernie has a small request! He was wondering if you might have some linens you would be willing to donate! They don't need to be new, just clean!

We are looking for blankets, sheets, comforters, pillow cases, towels and hand towels.
