Beautiful Blaze. From the very successful cross of Rowdy x Shiraz. Blaze began her show career at a ASCA show, and from the 9-12 puppy won Winners Bitch & Best of Winners, a five point major. Her only appearance at the USASA Nationals (photo), where she won a third place in the Open Red Bitch class. Blaze was owned by Sherry Wingfield, Silex MO.

Star was just that, a star. A full sister to our Fever, she was campaigned successfully several years as a special.
Jo was a lovely & caring person, full of celebrity herself. She had recorded with Sun Records & was asked out on a date with no other than Elvis Presley. Later on she would teach dance to Priscilla Presley, at her studio.

Handled & bred by Lynn Nathe Kraut. Later on in life she did confide in me & said Buster (on the right) was her favorite Aussie she had ever owned. Hobie did achieve his AKC CH also.

Thanks to a dear friend, Janee Howells, who recently sent a package of Dixiana archives, today begins several posts of our Aussies of the past. I thought it would be fitting to start with a 2011 Aussie Times holiday ad. Both Zenyatta & Blitz went on to become Champions among other titles. And I am very lucky to own a Disco daughter that many know as Delta.
It’ll be fun to look back & I hope you enjoy the upcoming posts.
