From the very beginning at the Good Go Ing Training Center, our goal has been to operate a first class, high quality sporting dog training facility. Good Go Ing is a full time, professional sporting dog business. Our approach has always been to tell people what we can do and how we do it. From there we feel our reputation and the many important aspects of dog training and care we offer will sell t

hemselves. We are not the least expensive pointer trainers, and we certainly wouldn't want to be. It is not possible, given the standards and goals that the Gooding's represent. We are doing our best to be known as the trainers that provide some of the most extensive experience and knowledge in the business.

Remi and Aspen, a pair of English Pointers, spent some time with us for a refresher while their family was on vacation. We reviewed their obedience training and worked on reinforcing their steadiness on point. Both dogs picked things up quickly and did a nice job settling back into their training routine. It was great to have them back!

Riot, an 11 week old female by Trygg and Sage, showing her natural talent after being on just a few quail. Two key things are already happening here: she’s learning to use her nose to identify and define bird scent, and her natural pointing instinct is beginning to develop. It’s always rewarding to watch these early pieces come together in a young pup.

A few of the exciting young dogs we have in for our Headstart Program. They are doing a great job with their bird and gun introduction and continuing to build confidence in the field.

Athena and Dot, the German Shorthaired Pointer sisters, are coming along nicely, and Freya, the German Wirehaired Pointer, is showing great progress as well. Fun group of young dogs with bright futures ahead.

Riot enjoyed a field trip to Glen Hills Park this weekend. 11 weeks old by Trygg and Sage.

Bruce was here this morning to pick up his new setter pup from Lexi and Ari. He made the trip up from Missouri, just like he did four years ago when he picked up Hannah, his first setter from us, who was by Mason and Hannah.

Bruce and Hannah have shared many great adventures across several states over the past few years, and now Maple gets her turn to be part of those adventures. Looking forward to watching her grow and contribute in her own way.

The Kler family recently made the trip from Michigan to pick up their new puppy by Sage and Trygg. Remi has settled in quickly and is already fitting right in as a great addition to the family.

Hoxley is already loved and fitting in well in his new home. This pup by Lexi and Ari is settling in quickly and enjoying time with his new family. Looks like he’s right where he belongs.

The Lynch boys are in for a little refresher work. Three German Shorthaired Pointers from the same family — Barrett (10), Nash (6), and Riggs (4). A fun group to have back in the kennel and always enjoyable to see these dogs continue doing what they were bred for.

Jackie with Freya, a 6 month old German Wirehaired Pointer, a few days into our Headstart Program. She’s learning to use her nose, showing good interest in birds, and her pointing instinct is starting to develop. Her gun introduction is also off to a good start with the introduction of the blank pistol. Looking forward to watching her continue to progress.
