It’s been a little too long since our last post…we’ve been busy 🤗
A huge thank you to my dad for helping me build the Dutch doors for the stalls in the indoor arena barn. Thank you to our #1 maintenance guy and huge supporter, my husband for freezing with me while we hung the Dutch doors. And of course my mom for the moral support and keeping Daddy and I inline while we built the doors together 🤣
It truly does take a village and I have one of the best!!!
We also have the insulation on the stall walls and started putting the boards up for the stalls today🤗. More pictures to come as we get the 4 stalls closer to done 😍

While I was at work today, Mike had the day off for President’s day…he got to hang out with Grace and Jaxon. I’m at work...

While I was at work today, Mike had the day off for President’s day…he got to hang out with Grace and Jaxon.

I’m at work and receive the pictures below…the kids have never ridden without me or another horse person with them. I’m over the moon excited and scared all at once. My babies are growing up and becoming more independent 🥰☺️🥹

Yesterday was another horse day…or as I say in the summer “Sunday Funday”!
I came out of the garage to see the girls standing in the barn with Jellybean trying to get her halter on. I ask “what are you doing?” They reply, “riding Jellybean. You told us yesterday we don’t have to ask, so we went and got her”.

So, the good mom I am…I put the halter on and the girls start walking off to open a gate. Again, I ask “where are you going with her”? There reply with cute kid attitude “to the round pen, where else are we going to ride”! My reply “oh, ok”. I assumed they would ride in the front yard or up and down rhe driveway…not my princesses…they need a round pen to “train” there horse 🤣

If you look closely at the pictures, you can see Grace walking Jellybean and Jolene pushing the doll stroller because they need all there stuff with them 🤪

For the afternoon, we headed to the indoor for some more fun!! Loving this warmer weather and horse crazy kids…my heart is full 😍

P. S. Jellybean is an absolute saint of a mini and very patient with our shenanigans ☺️

Story time:
When I first thought about opening our little piece of heaven to boarders and creating an official LLC, the thought scared me for many different reasons.
Tuesday we were putting hay out in -15 windchill after the kids were sleeping for the night. Normally in this kind of weather I’m questioning my life choices, why do I have horses, why do I still live in the upper Midwest, you get the point.
For the first working in these cold temps, I was actually thinking about how blessed I am with my little farm family.
During the most difficult time of year, everyone of my boarders have gone above and beyond on their own accord. From helping keep the woodstove full during the extremely cold days, to helping combat ice so we don’t all fall, to leaving a little something as a “thank you for combating the cold weather” gift.
None of these things were asked of anyone, they just stepped in, helped and offered support. I am a strong believer of “it takes a village” and my village is amazing!
I sleep better at night in part to my amazing village here and I’m SO glad I decided to open our farm to boarders. Our little piece of heaven is complete and perfect because of our little farm family 🥰

Yesterday, we had the most wonderful family haul their new horse and family mini in to use the indoor arena and escape the chilly air.
It was SO fun to see this young man enjoy his Christmas present (the horse) and their daughter immediately connect with our girls over horses!
To say my heart was full is an understatement! I love how our equines bring people together that results in new friendships 🥰

We do allow limited hauls-ins! $20/horse rider combo for 1st hour. $10 for each additional hour. Must have proof of current vaccines and negative coggins. Send a PM with any questions and available haul-times.
