Bee Amazzzing Hives We are a local Beekeeping family with a small apiary. A love and fascination of these tiny little honey bees keeps it very enjoyable and fulfilling.

The variety of flavors the honey bees produce from the local nectar sources is truly AMAZZZING 🐝 🍯

Hello everyone!
I will have an educational table set up at the "DIRT DAY EVENT" at the Sisters of St. Joseph in Baden on Saturday 10am -2pm. representing our local bee club, Beaver Valley Area Beekeepers Association
I will be bringing my observation hive for everyone to take a close look at our honey bees hard at work. Will you be able to spot the queen!!
I will also be bring my "Honey Bee Plinko" board.
Heidi Shepler will also be helping educated folks wanting to know a more about our precious pollinators 🌻🪻🌹🌼

Thanks to Mark from Baldwin for reporting a honey bee swarm on beeswarmed.org
that landed in a magnolia tree in his front yard. I drove out this morning to gather them and take them to their new home.
Its been a fun swarm season so far this year!
If you see a swarm please let me know. We don't want folks to exterminate our precious pollinators.

Checked in on some honey bees and painted some new hives with the most recent OOPS PAINT color of the day. Blue!

A big thanks goes out to "Center at the Mall" for allowing me to bring over some of my honey during the Mothers Day Tea event.
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all the great people I had the chance to meet and talk with!

Japanese Knotweed Honey is definitely my favorite!! 🍯 This dark ruby red honey is made from nectar gathered from this fall plant. Japanese Knotweed is considered an invasive plant but honey bees love it. It's always limited to the bloom of its flower each year. This is the same award winning honey that I won first place and the Fern Wilson, best of show awards at the West Virginia State Beekeepers Spring Summit in February.
It's a rainy day so bottled up this last little bit this morning.

I had a fun weekend! Saturday I helped represent our bee club, Beaver Valley Area Beekeepers Association at the Big K**b Grange - Maple Festival, then on Sunday I set up a educational table at Robin Hill Park in Moon Twp for their Earth Day Event, where I had the chance to meet and chat to folks about our amazzzing honey bees and
their importance in the world. I even took some honey for everyone to sample. Fun, Fun .... This was my second year at the Earth Day Event and it seems I am officially called the Bee Guy now ... 😆

I am truely amazed by the honey bees and fortunate enough to be able to work with them.
One of coolest parts is the delicious honey they provide.
I had the chance to display some of that honey, a dark amber summer honey.
I entered it in the honey show at the Pennsylvania State Beekeepers annual conference against beekeepers from across the state.
I won a first place Blue Ribbon in the 3-jar exacted dark honey category and a Best In Class Ribbon for all honey categories that was entered.

If you were one of the many folks that stopped by to say hello and learn a little more about our Honey Bees or purchased some of the honey my bees worked so hard to produce, thank you!!
I always enjoy meeting new folks , young and old who are interested in beekeeping or the importance of our precious Honey Bees 🐝
