TO SHAREHOLDERS: Just a follow up from the Quarterly meeting held on Tuesday night. It was a good turnout -- there was actually a quorum, so we were able to hold the meeting!!

A huge thank you to Sgt. Alverez from the Baden Police for coming to speak to the shareholders regarding safety and what is going on in the community.

Other discussions included: There was a suggestion that the complaint process needs reviewed - The board indicated that they will review it in the next board meeting; A new tire swing and picnic table will be added at the playground with the funds raised by the Playground Committee - coming soon; and some of the porch and sidewalk projects had to be delayed because of funding -- Maintenance department is doing what they can with the budget that was allotted.

I know this doesn't cover everything, but as always, the minutes are available at the office for review by shareholders.

A special watch meeting will be held on Thursday, August 13 in the Community Room. A fact-finding mission is looking at ways to cut costs in Baden, including abolishing the Baden police force or merging it with a neighboring community's force. The Baden Neighborhood Watch supports keeping our Police Department to keep our community safe. We urge all Baden residents to attend this important meeting. The mayor and a police officer will attend to address our concerns.
