As crazy as this sounds we are getting responses from people that don’t want to adopt from us because our cats/kittens enjoy a cage-free life, were as others in shelters are locked in cages.
So the potential adopter’s are looking to take cats from those shelters as opposed to ours. 😔
So sad that we are doing our best to help them while they are in our care, yet getting overlooked because of this care that we provide. 😔

We're Hiring—One or Two Cat Lovers Needed! 🐾
Pet Connection, Inc. (near Avonmore, PA) is looking for dependable animal lovers to help at our cage-free cat rescue shelter!

We have one morning position open:
🗓 Tuesday mornings (4-hours)
Some weeks we will have additional morning hours available.

⏰ Start between 7:00–9:00 a.m.

Duties include:
🍽 Feeding & watering cats
🧼 Cleaning litter boxes, sweeping, laundry
🧹 Keeping the shelter clean and cozy for our cats

💪 Must be dependable, able to lift 25 lbs, and have transportation
🐱 Cat care experience preferred
💲 $12/hour
📝 Paid working interview required

📍 We're on the border of Armstrong and Westmoreland County

Emergency Food and Litter Drive! Please Share!
Last week, we shared that our shelter is running dangerously low on canned cat food—the soft pâté varieties our older and sensitive cats rely on. We’re so thankful to those who responded—we received four generous donations. 💛 But sadly, it’s not enough to carry us through the summer and winter ahead.
