Lesson update🏇

We apologize for the late start, we were healing from a winter injury. We are now ready to slowly start back up for the year. We are looking to take on 2 new lessons. We give lessons to ages 7 years and up. (Not just kids, adults as well) PM us for more information and scheduling. Get your spot booked before it’s too late.

Our last calf was born last Friday! Our Aurora gave us a beautiful healthy bull calf. They are both doing great. She is a first time mama and she is doing fantastic. We decided to name him Charming. He is the sweetest calf! We absolutely love him!

Corona has been getting rode every other day for almost a month now. He is doing great! He does seem a little sore but it’s on the opposite front leg. Today the farrier is putting front shoes back on so hopefully that is just the issue. But other than that he definitely has his spark back!

Corona is 10 1/2 months post injury. We got some great news today.. we are cleared to ride!! He is now to have a strenuous ride one day and rest the next day for 2 months. At that point, we will recheck and see if we can keep moving forward. Dr. Brown thinks he looks better than he did before the injury. Everything is completely healed just a mess from not working it properly so he needs to be worked to fix that. Dr. Brown was amazed with how good he looked. This injury is very hard and usually it is very unlikely to go back to normal. But after all the blood, sweat, tears and prayers we somehow did it! Dr. Brown says there is a good chance he can go back to running if we keep moving forward!! I’m still in shock with how strong this horse is and how much he showed me that he wanted to be able to run again. I truly can’t thank Dr. Brown enough for everything he did for me and my boy! 🤗🥹💕

We did have the arena all ready to ride before the second winter. 🤦‍♀️ Oh well we will take it.. way better than mud.

We are hoping to be able to do lessons this year but we are waiting to get into the vet to get Lakida looked at. She has come up with a swollen back leg. We have been treating it for what we thought it could’ve been. Unfortunately it has had no change so she will need to get an ultrasound to see what the issue is. This crazy weather will just give her more time to heal and get ready for the year.

Corona will also be getting his last check up to see if we can begin riding and maybe even run again. We will keep everyone posted here on updates about lesson!
