We got to watch the show, and meet Another Grooming Podcast Nathan and Katie Austin!! Also DMK Bowtique Milena Kon!! โค๏ธ And so many more!

Many pet owners believe shaving helps dogs stay cool, but for double-coated breeds, their coat is natureโ€™s air conditioning system. The undercoat helps regulate body temperature by keeping them cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.

Why you shouldnโ€™t shave a double-coated dog in summer:

โŒ Removes their natural insulation against heat
โŒ Increases the risk of sunburn and skin cancer
โŒ Exposes sensitive skin to UV rays and insect bites
โŒ Can cause hot spots and skin irritation
โŒ May permanently damage the coat, causing patchy or uneven regrowth
โŒ Makes it harder for the coat to regulate body temperature properly
โŒ Does NOT stop sheddingโ€”the undercoat will still shed!

We are proud to support Shannonโ€™s summer raffle fundraiser benefiting the upcoming Lung Force Walk this September. โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŽ‰ All proceeds will go toward lung cancer research through the American Lung Association.

Shannon is participating in honor and loving memory of her mother, Connie, who passed away from lung cancer in May 2025. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿชฝ
