Dogs were bred for jobs, and even our lovable mixed breeds often hold onto those instincts. 🐾

This super mutt had decided that moving humans needed managing. Since his favorite targets were our ankles, we suggested a Jolly Ball to give him something more appropriate to chase, push, and control. Rather than viewing it as a behavior problem, we looked at what need he was trying to fulfill and suggested a Jolly Ball as an appropriate outlet. It was such a success that Mom stocked up on extras. That’s the difference experienced care makes.

To the untrained eye, these changes can be easy to miss- especially when you see your pet every day. One of the benefits of having a professional pet sitter is having another set of eyes on your pet. We get to know their normal habits, routines, and personalities, which often makes subtle changes stand out.

While we're not veterinarians, we can alert you when something seems out of the ordinary so you can investigate further if needed. Sometimes the smallest observations can make the biggest difference. It’s always a good idea to have another pair of eyes on your dog. 🐕

For your pet:
▪️A rushed potty break feels different than an adventure.
▪️A quick stop “just to feed dinner” feels different than meaningful engagement.
▪️A stranger showing up feels different than a trusted friend arriving at the door.

We’re excited to announce beginning August 1st, Uptown Pup will be offering two thoughtfully designed extended care experiences built around your pet’s natural evening and morning routine at home. Introducing:

🌙 Tuck Ins & Tail Wags
Flexible evening & morning support centered around your pets’ normal flow at home- dinner, bedtime tuck ins, potty breaks, and early morning care. (3 hours total)
🏡 Bed & Biscuits
A dedicated overnight service for pets who benefit most from overnight presence, supervision, and continuity of care. (8–10 hours)

We look forward to continuing to care for your pets with thoughtful, routine-centered support!
