I know the last few times that I have posted pictures of the homemade dog food I make for Chance has been the finished product. I just wanted to share one of the recipes I'm making him this time and show you the products at the beginning. This time I am using ground chicken, ground pork, brown rice, zucchini, fresh cranberries, regular potatoes(although he likes sweet potatoes more. I'm just out of them 🤫), and chicken broth. I give him roughly one cup of this in the morning along with about a tablespoon of Greek yogurt and a few blueberries , and then he has access to a high quality dry kibble throughout the day. I've been making dog food for my dogs for years but about 6 months ago I came across this book called "The Forever Dog". I cannot recommend it enough, it goes into great detail about different things you can feed your dogs and the benefits of each of these things and even gives you some recipes that you can start with. The book is only about $15 on Amazon and for anyone looking to try to start making food for their dogs I think this is the best book to start your journey with. And, of course, a picture of my 12 year old special boy! 🥰
