Midge sounds lovely! I know some of our customers are looking to add a small dog to their family. Maybe Midge would be the perfect fit!

ADOPTED !!!

8 year old Midge is an amazing little girl who is dreaming of a forever home. She is a 19 pound schnauzer. She is polite and always waits to be invited onto the couch. Midge loves being with her people and would love to be part of a family that will include her in their plans. Whether it is going for walks or getting cozy at home this girl is a great companion.

Midge's foster parents are working on teaching her how to walk on a leash. She is a smart girl and a quick learner but she will need someone committed to continuing with her leash manners. Midge loves lounging in the sun in the safety of her securely fenced backyard; therefore, her rescuers are requiring that any adopter also has a yard that has secure fencing.

Midge is happily living with dogs in her foster home and would enjoy having a canine friend. She would probably also enjoy being someone's little princess so another dog isn't a must. It is unknown if Midge has been around cats. Any cats in the home should be dog savvy and have a safe place to observe Midge as she adapts to her new surroundings. Midge is a favorite of the kids in her neighborhood and would be fine with respectful children.

This lovely lady is housebroken and crate trained. She will bark to alert and when out in public so no apartments for this girl.

Sweet, but spicy Sophie is not normally agreeable to the grooming process. Today Mom gave her a hefty dose of calming meds. Her groom was a success. When Brandy put her in the kennel to wait for her Mom, I heard Sophie say to Brandy "Dude, do you have any funyuns and some mountain dew?" She's going to sleep good tonight 😆

Please share this post to get sweet Henry a new forever home. I think he's been looking for his new person/people for awhile now. Thank you!

Henry is a sweet 9-year-old cocker spaniel. This handsome boy weighs approximately 26 pounds. Henry is that is the perfect mix of playful and serene. He loves brisk walks, yet he also enjoys chilling on the sofa with you. He does well on the leash, although he will zig-zag in his zeal to sniff everything in sight. He can somehow find all the snacks, as he loves to eat. Henry's zest for snacks makes giving him medication fairly easy. This is good because he gets eye drops for glaucoma. Henry also has a mild heart murmur, which does not require medication.

Henry is fully potty trained. He absolutely loves car rides and warms up quickly to new people and new dogs. Henry would likely do best in a home with another dog, and often chooses to snuggle with his foster siblings. He will chase toys and play tug with his people, but his real joy comes from socks and cardboard. He’s done well with cats in the past, making him a good fit for multi-pet households.

We are THRILLED to share an Old Dog Haven Forever Foster Home has been FOUND for Buddy and Tucker!
They will make their way soon to their forever foster home. We are very happy they will remain together for the rest of their days and receive the care they need thanks to all of you who donate.
Big thanks to all of you for sharing our plea!

Old Dog Haven home FOUND !!!

URGENT: PERMANENT Old Dog Haven FOSTER HOME FOUND :
(in W. Washington state or Portland, OR only)

"Buddy and Tucker" are a bonded pair of shih tzu
mixes, who are 12 and 13 years old. These neutered males weigh 9 pounds and "robust" 18 pounds. This pair just suddenly lost their person and badly need a home together right away.

They are loving, sweet boys devoted to each other and to
their people. They cuddle up with each other, play with each other at
times, like to putter around the yard or house, around their people.
They have lived just fine with lots of dogs (though they mostly keep to
themselves) and are living well with a cat. They are housebroken and
can do stairs. They have very little vet history other than consistent
vaccinations and exams, so their medical needs are really unknown.
Their current caregiver calls them "such silly dogs with big personalities," but they
seem to have many of the wonderful shih tzu traits - easygoing, able to
get along with all, but devoted to their people once chosen. We
would really like to get them into a safe home ASAP.
