Two Chicks and a Pack was created out of a passion to provide Atlanta city dogs with stimulating adventures during the day while their owners are hard at work. With more and more people going back to the office, we help dogs (& pup parents) deal with separation anxiety. We provide owners peace of mind, knowing that their dogs are being exercised and are socializing with other friendly dogs in a st

ructured, positive, and fun environment. We make it simple and hassle-free for the owners too, picking up and then returning them to the comfort of their own home several hours later, AND ready for a nap.

We spend a lot of time on the trails, and it’s easy to take for granted how much work goes into keeping them beautiful.

As an Atlanta’s #1 dog hiking company, we’re lucky enough to spend our days exploring some of the most beautiful state and national parks around Atlanta. It’s easy to admire the views, but today we’re thinking about the people who make those experiences possible.

Park rangers do so much more than most people ever see. They maintain trails, protect wildlife, educate visitors, respond to emergencies, and work year-round to preserve these incredible places for future generations. Their dedication allows us to safely enjoy the outdoors day after day.

On World Ranger Day, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to the rangers who care for the places that have become such a special part of our daily adventures. We don’t take your hard work for granted, and we’re grateful for everything you do to keep these wild spaces thriving.

A special thank you to the rangers and park staff who care for our favorite places like Kennesaw Mountain, Sweetwater Creek, Red Top Mountain, Arabia Mountain, and the many other Georgia parks and trails we have the privilege of exploring with our pack. We appreciate you today and every day. 🌿🐾💚

Over the last couple weeks, we ran a fun T-shirt design contest to help us choose the best design for the next roll-out of Two Chicks and a Pack merch. All of the concepts were brainstormed by the amazing Two Chicks staff and brought to life by talented local Atlanta artist L I🌵I A N A of Liliana Penagos.

One of our favorite places to explore with our adventure pups is Stone Mountain Park! With over 3,200 acres of forests, lakes, and 15 miles of scenic trails, it’s the perfect destination for dogs who love to sniff, hike, and experience the outdoors.

From peaceful wooded paths to breathtaking summit views, every visit offers something new for our pack. We especially love the variety of trails, which let us match each hike to our dogs’ energy levels while providing plenty of opportunities for mental enrichment and confidence building along the way.

If you’re planning a visit with your own pup, remember:
🐕 Clean up after your pets.
💧 Bring plenty of fresh water, especially during warmer months.
🥾 Wear sturdy shoes if you’re tackling the summit trail.

Whether you’re looking for a leisurely nature walk or a more challenging adventure, Stone Mountain Park is one of Georgia’s best spots to get outside and have a blast with your pup.

☀️ Heat safety is always our top priority. 🐾

While we love summertime as much as anyone else, we believe every hike should be planned with your dog’s safety first- especially in our local Georgia heat & humidity!

At Two Chicks and a Pack, we adjust our schedule and hiking plans based on the weather whenever possible. During hot weather, we aim for earlier hikes whenever possible, choose shaded trails, utilize clean water sources to cool down in, and give your dog plenty of hydration breaks along the way. Our goal is to keep every dog safe & comfortable while still providing the mental and physical enrichment they love.

We always encourage open communication with our clients. If you know your dog doesn’t tolerate the heat well, please let us know. We’re happy to adjust plans or move a hike to another day when conditions are more comfortable. A missed hike is always better than risking your dog’s health.

Keep an eye out for signs of overheating, including:
🐶 Excessive panting
💧 Heavy drooling
🔴 Bright red gums
😴 Lethargy or weakness
🤢 Vomiting or wobbliness
