I don’t believe I can even comprehend everything I’ve been keeping away from you all, the amount of immense pride I have in Karuk it’s unbelievable. We have embarked on this journey for a very long time in several different avenues, this one hits a little more closer to home. This experience reminded me of the days back at Tripwire Operations Group in 2021, where I gained an incredible mentor James Sabol. If it weren’t for James, I wouldn’t have been able to build the true Dual Purpose K9 that I have built into Karuk. That’s where I learned the most about decoying, operational tactics, things to know as a handler, tips from his service overseas with his K9. For 2 weeks there, I stayed awake until late at night practicing my rewarding technique with a tiny trash can. Was added into classes, and had the opportunity to build TATP & HMTD. Where I was handed the reward for K9’s already out on the streets, on imprinting these odors. All of them told me I was talented, as a 21 year old I truly had no idea what they were even seeing in me. I trusted the process, had shown up to IronRoseK9 with James and the rest is history. I met Eric & K9 Bear, where the very harness Karuk wears still to this day is a hand me down. I put it on him for the prayer of walking out of each shift alive. While we were at F.M K9 we Certified as a Dual Purpose K9 Team, with flying colors from my boy Karuk. For the last few months I’ve been getting license after license for this new journey we are endeavoring on, while also training up another K9 who you’ve seen on my story. 3 weeks with her, and she passed her Explosive Detection Certification with her handler. Proud of the guys, proud of Ayla Mollen , proud of Karuk, proud of K9 Kapri, just a complete full circle moment I’ve waited my entire life for.
K9 Karuk, you are.. A true One in a Million Dog🥺 I know I’ll have more to say later on, but I couldn’t keep something so incredibly awesome away from our true reason on this earth. To prove nothing is impossible, and the sky is never the limit. Even if you’re sick or just 26, there’s so much I battle myself alone. I am proud of myself, for the 1st time🖤
