Today we remember.

Not the sales. Not the day off. The people who didn't come home.

From our little corner of North Idaho, we hold this day with quiet gratitude. 🇺🇸

We're in the Coeur d'Alene 4th of July American Heroes Parade. We want your input on how we show up.

Two Clydesdales up front. A few ponies behind them. A little lapp wagon pulled by two ponies on lead line bringing up the rear.

The lineup is set. The decorations are not.

Tell us how to dress this thing up. Full patriotic florals with ribbons braided into the manes? American flags and a clean look? Red, white and blue all the way through? Something completely unexpected?

We've been part of this parade before and it's one of the best days of our summer. CDA lines Sherman Avenue deep. We love seeing you out there.

Drop your decoration ideas in the comments. We'll share what we decide and show you the build as we get closer to July 4th.

Parade route: Sherman Ave, 15th Street to Government Way. Starts at 10am.

Pony Express Post brings real miniature horses into PreK through 2nd grade classrooms across North Idaho. It costs the school nothing. Not a reduced fee. Nothing, ever.

The program runs four weekly sessions. Each visit, kids receive a letter with clues and the story builds week by week. The history in those letters is real and it belongs to these kids: Silver Valley mining history, Pony Express routes that ran through this region, the same mountain country outside their classroom windows.

Kids take home books written for North Idaho. Horse-centered stories built on real regional history. These were written for this place and these kids, not pulled from a shelf.

Every session covers Idaho ELA standards in reading and writing, plus history and geography specific to this region.

Local businesses and community sponsors fund every visit. Sponsors fund the horses in the room. The kids do the rest.

Schools: visit tribalcowboy.com to book your visit.

Businesses: email [email protected] or DM this page. Your sponsorship puts real horses and real North Idaho history in front of the kids growing up down the street from your business.

My brother Billy had Down syndrome. He is why Tribal Cowboy exists.

I am building a working ranch where people with Down syndrome hold real jobs and families trust the people around their person. Every dollar Tribal Cowboy earns goes toward that. While I am still building, DS Connections NW is doing this work right now in our community. They are a registered nonprofit running new diagnosis support and summer camps for families across the Inland Northwest.

State funding keeps shrinking. Today is the final day of Idaho Gives. They are 79% to their goal, and reaching it unlocks leaderboard prizes that keep their programs running.

I donated. Your gift is tax deductible. Donation link in the first comment.

Nick Morrow graduates vet school this week.
Now we’ve got a go-to vet for future camels and whatever other obsessions come next.

Congrats, Dr. Morrow.

Core memory unlocked. ❄️
There’s something so grounding about watching little ones with horses. Strength doesn’t have to be scary… sometimes it’s the safest place in the world.
Even freezing, this moment warmed my heart.
What’s your family’s favorite animal to visit? Clearly ours is the the Clydesdales today ❤️

✨ Holiday magic, the country way ✨

Smiles like these are why we do what we do 🤍
From sleigh rides to fuzzy ears and festive cheer, this photo session at South Boundary Holiday Festival was pure joy. Huge thank-you to Star Dust Ranch Donkeys for bringing the holiday spirit (and the cutest little elf energy 🎄🫏).

At Tribal Cowboy, we believe memories are meant to be felt, not rushed, not staged, just real moments with animals that make hearts slow down and smiles grow bigger.
