This page is dedicated to the pets in need of the Athens area and our surrounding communities. We work closely with Animal Control Shelters in our area to rescue animals and save lives. We are a private non-profit and therefore receive no government or national funding. We rely solely on private donations from individuals, businesses, and groups. We also have a Spay & Neuter Clinic where we offer

low-cost surgeries to the public and rescue groups. This affordable service helps people save more lives by spaying and neutering their pets. Our posts will include photos of adoptable animals, adoption photos, events, fundraisers, and news regarding our organization. Please feel free to leave positive comments and feedback. 🖤 Hope 🖤

Meet Hope, our one-year-old tuxedo queen! When Hope first arrived, she was a little shy and unsure about shelter life, but she has truly started to blossom. With a little patience and a few gentle pets, she quickly melts into a sweet and affectionate lovebug who’s more than happy to soak up attention from her favorite people.

🧡 Lou & Kai 🧡

Meet Lou and Kai, our sweet two-year-old orange tabby brothers looking for a forever home together. These bonded boys can be a little shy and intimidated when first meeting new people, which is very common for cats adjusting to the shelter environment. But with a little patience, some gentle encouragement, and maybe a tube treat or two, these sweethearts warm up in no time. Lou, the lighter orange brother, is definitely the more outgoing of the pair and tends to lead the way while Kai hangs back to carefully assess the situation. Together, they make the perfect little duo and are happiest when they have each other nearby for comfort and confidence.

🌟 Tab 🌟

Our boy Tab is the gentlest giant of them all. This 2.5-year-old, 100+ pound mixed breed is large, in charge, and full of love, making him the definition of a big softie. He may get a little excited when meeting new friends, but he’s incredibly polite and just happy to be part of the fun.

Tab is smart as a whip and already knows how to sit, lay down, and shake! He’s very treat motivated and eager to keep learning. He also loves the water and doesn’t mind getting a good scrub from his people. When he’s not showing off his skills, he enjoys lounging independently, especially if there’s a sunny spot where he can stretch out and soak it all in.

Because of his size and smarts, Tab would do best in a calm, adult home without small children. He’d love to be your one and only, though he can do well with puppies given the right introduction. His adoption is also SPONSORED, making his adoption fee free!

Meet Banquet (M), Marie (F), and Hungry-Man (M), our fluffiest little tabby feast trio. These three sweethearts spend most of their days doing what kittens do best: sleeping in giant cuddle puddles and snuggling together like tiny canned biscuits.

However… breakfast time tells a very different story. The second the tuna wet food comes out, all manners disappear. We’re talking dramatic screaming, monkey-bar climbing, crowd surfing, and absolute unhinged chaos in pursuit of their morning meal. Truly, no one does breakfast theatrics quite like these three.

☕ Espresso ☕

Meet Espresso, our completely unhinged, zero-self-respect soot sprite. This kitten isn’t a double shot. He isn’t a triple shot. Espresso is a quadruple shot of the darkest roast known to mankind, and he is operating at full capacity 24/7.

Morning feeding time? The void’s screams can be heard across state lines. This tiny goblin yearns for soup, and he will make sure everyone within a five-mile radius knows it. When it’s time for playtime, prepare yourself for the ultimate tweak-a-thon. Espresso is clearly communicating with forces beyond our comprehension. One moment he’s swatting at invisible entities. The next he’s ricocheting off walls, body-slamming toys, and performing acrobatics that would violate several laws of physics.

And yet somehow, despite all of this chaos, Espresso’s favorite thing in the entire world is being held. The second you scoop him up, he transforms into the floppiest little kitten imaginable. His purr motor roars like a V8 Blackhawk engine, and suddenly the caffeinated menace becomes nothing more than a sleepy baby who wants cuddles.

🥔 Potato 🥔

Yeah, I remember when I first noticed the potato flew around my room… well now the potato is flying around the kitten room. Meet Potato, our completely unhinged little cow kitten who dreams of becoming the first potato-cat on the moon. This tiny astronaut-in-training spends his days scaling kennel bars, launching himself between shelves, and hitching rides on unsuspecting human shoulders in preparation for his future space missions.

Potato operates with absolutely zero regard for gravity, personal boundaries, or screen door integrity. However, even with his packed training schedule, he still makes time for the important things in life… mainly causing chaos and taking dramatic naps afterward.

🩵 Rio 🩵

Meet Rio, our one-year-old tabby-co girlie who is just the sweetest little pea. This outgoing lady is always searching for attention… desperately, honestly. If you stop by to visit her, expect plenty of chin rubs, cuddles, and absolutely zero respect for personal space. Rio also adores people and loves soaking up affection from anyone willing to give it. She has a positive history with other cats, making her the perfect addition to a growing feline family looking for one more lovable personality in the mix.

🩵 Joy 🩵

Meet our absolute inspiration, Joy. This extra special 18-month-old girl is a tripod pup who has already overcome so much in her young life. When Joy first came into our care, she needed a lot of TLC. Thanks to the incredible veterinary team at UGA, she successfully underwent a leg amputation and spent the following weeks recovering and rebuilding her confidence.

Since then, Joy truly hasn’t skipped a beat. She lives up to her name in every possible way and brings happiness everywhere she goes. She has tested well with other dogs and cats, is wonderful with kids, and already knows commands like sit. But above all else, Joy’s favorite thing in the world is being wrapped up in your arms. This sweet girl is a total lap dog and has so much love to give.

🌿 Willow Tree 🌿

Meet our three-year-old itty bitty baby, Willow Tree! This tabby queen is as sweet and quirky as they come and has a personality that’s impossible not to love. Willow Tree greets her visitors with the cutest little coos and chirps while weaving between your legs asking for attention. She’s a total cuddle champion and will gladly settle into your lap like she’s been there forever. When she’s not soaking up affection, this tiny explorer loves climbing cat towers and quietly judging the world from above like the regal queen she is.

This week, our adoption center is requesting a few extra wishlist items to help support some of our malnourished pets and assist our staff with day-to-day cleaning around the shelter. Every donation, big or small, truly helps us provide better care and comfort for the animals depending on us.
