The 2026 Dam Dog Walk is almost here and we are READY for an unforgettable evening from 4PM–8PM! 🐾🌅

Here’s what we’ve got lined up:
🎶 4PM–5PM: Live band to kick things off
👑 5PM–6:30PM: Our Annual Dog Pageant
🎶🐕 7PM–8PM: Live music + the Dog Walk at sunset

✨ Dog Pageant Details:
• Categories: Most Talented & Best Dressed/Costume
• Entry: $10 per category, per pet
• Sign in & complete an “About My Pet” form at the table before the pageant starts

🌅 Dog Walk Info:
• Starts at 7PM (sunset!)
• Approx. 3-mile walk from Big Oak Recreation Area to the GA/SC border
• Expect treats, toys, and fun surprises along the way!

While shopping at Lowe’s today, I stopped to admire a young woman’s French Bulldog and mentioned that I’m a pet photographer. She quickly replied, “Oh no—she’d never be good enough or sit still for photos.”

It made me realize how many people feel this way. The truth is, most pets I work with are energetic, distracted, or just having an off day—and that’s completely okay. Creating beautiful images in those moments is part of the craft. It’s not about a “perfect” pet, it’s about capturing their personality as they are.

If you’ve ever doubted whether your pet could have amazing photos taken, I’d love the opportunity to show you what’s possible.

Happy 10th birthday, my dear Lizzie🤍

In honor of Lizzie’s first birthday in heaven, I am creating the Lizzie’s Legacy fund. All donations will be given to a local veterinary oncologist to aid clients who may not be able to afford diagnostics or treatment. A portion of all future photography seasons will be donated to this fund as well. Until I can make it to the bank to set up the account, you can donate via Venmo or PayPal. ✨Celebration of Life - Millie✨

Millie is such a kind soul. She loves her mom fiercely and has been there for her for many years. As a rescue, Millie found peace and love through her mom, Rachel. Not only is she loyal to her people, she is also patient and loving to her dog siblings. It was such a joy to capture such an amazing pup🤍

Last year, I posted my favorite 12 images, one for each month, to end the year. This year, I only have one, and I didn’t even capture it. In May, my soul dog’s cancer returned with a vengeance. There was no reversing it. I quickly called my dear friend, , for an End of Life session before Lizzie started to feel too sick. And boy am I glad I did. This image is exactly how she would look at me. In the mornings, getting home from work, or just out in the yard, she would run up and look up at me just like this. It’s been my background on my phone ever since. I spent those next 5 months caring, spoiling, and loving Lizzie between work and photo sessions. At the end of October, Lizzie crossed the Rainbow Bridge surrounded by loved ones. She was my why, my reason I got interested in pet photography and the reason I have connected with others to capture their babies. She gives me the strength to continue to do what I do and create lasting memories for others. Hug your babies tight and enjoy the new year. Thank you for all of your support this past year. I’ll be here to help you make new memories in 2026🤍🫶
