I woke up in the middle of the night to find this mythical creature draped across my body snoring loudly. This is the first time he’s slept in our bed. He’s still exploring our house and starting to occasionally go downstairs. We are all absolutely loving having him home with us 💕

Mike and I have been selling antiques and vintage items in our two booths at in Algonquin, IL for a year now. A few months ago we decided to open a mixed Birds of a Sweater/Mr Smith’s Vintage booth that is heavily cat themed and so far it’s been a success! It’s still a work in progress but improving every time we restock. Right now you can find us in booth C5, but starting April 1st we will be moving to booth K5. Stop by to check it out if you’re in the area! 👋
( named after our dog Mr. Smith, who is always in the middle of everything we do 🐕‍🦺)

Bath day for Walter! 🫧
He’s getting stronger every day, he doesn’t even notice he’s getting an insulin injection as long as he’s eating his yummy food. 😋

About Us

We love using eco-friendly and recycled products when creating our cat toys, and have been doing so since 2009. Our original Birds of a Sweater toys are handmade from upcycled sweaters, recycled fiber fill, and organic catnip. Our new Eco-Kicker toys are made from recycled canvas that is 45% recycled and very durable.

In 2016 we inherited a large feral colony of cats with a land purchase. The purchase of Birds of a Sweater Cat toys supports the feeding and medical care of these cats. In late 2016 we began TNR (Trap/Neuter/Return) and as of April 2017 we have spayed and neutered every cat in the colony. We've also tamed and adopted out several of the younger kittens.

Now that our TNR of this colony is complete, we're committed to helping feral colonies around the United States. As of May 1, 2017, 10% of our proceeds will be donated in the form of food to feral colony caretakers in need. We'll be using #foodforferals on Instagram to help track donations and find colonies that need food sent their way.
