Knine Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to animal care and protection.

We are a private organization, run solely on donations. We assist shelters and other rescues (both in our area and out of our area alike), and take on word of mouth tasks. Our goal is to promote responsible animal ownership and to assume those responsibilities when others are unwilling or unable to do so. If you are in the DC, MD, or Northern, VA areas, we can assist you in selecting the right pet

. Please ask us about pet selection and check out the animals currently in our adoption program – www.kninerescue.com. We are also available to assist you with any questions or problems you may have concerning your companion and we encourage you to contact us. Placing animals in new homes is a responsibility we take seriously. Our adoption program includes an application form, contract, home visit and adoption donation, used to fund our rescue operations. All persons interested in adopting a pet from us must read and complete the forms. Forms are found our website – www.kninerescue.com

Our Adoption Goals:
The purpose of our adoption program is to place an animal in a responsible home where it will:

* Receive veterinary care when needed
* Not add to the pet overpopulation problem
* Be controlled so it will not roam free in the neighborhood
* Be happy with its owner and the owner happy with the pet

This adorable Australian Cattle Dog mix puppy is happiest when he’s by your side, ready for whatever adventure comes next. Guac is dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and has never met a stranger—he truly wants to be friends with everyone!

Smart as a whip and eager to please, Guac is already showing off his intelligence by bringing you his food bowl when it’s mealtime. He loves learning new things and is always looking to make his people proud.

Like any young puppy, Guac is still working on potty training and continuing to build his confidence. Because of this, he would do best in a home with another friendly dog who can help show him the ropes and remind him that the world is a pretty great place.

Piglet is a sweet 2-year-old Beagle looking for a temporary medical foster home while she finishes her heartworm treatment this week and recovers.

This adorable girl needs a calm, quiet place where she can rest and take it easy over the next few weeks. Heartworm recovery requires limited activity, so we’re looking for a home that can help her relax while she heals and waits for her forever family to find her.

Piglet doesn’t need anything fancy—just a peaceful place to recover, lots of love, and someone willing to help her through the final stretch of her treatment journey.

Fostering is one of the most rewarding ways you can help a dog in need. By opening your home temporarily, you’re giving a deserving dog a safe place to land while they wait for their forever family.

We currently have several dogs looking for foster homes, and all supplies are provided by the rescue. Whether you’re an experienced foster or considering it for the first time, we’re happy to answer any questions and help find the right match for your home.

🍋🧋 Sweet Tea & Lemonade Need a Foster! 🧋🍋

Have you ever thought, “My house is just too clean, too quiet, and I haven’t tripped over anything adorable lately?”

Well, Sweet Tea and Lemonade would like to fix that.

These 9-week-old sisters are looking for a foster home so they can make their trip to Maryland on 6/27 to Frederick, MD. They are experts in puppy antics, professional snugglers, and part-time chaos coordinators.

What they bring to the table:
🍋 Wagging tails
🧋 Puppy breath
🍋 Questionable decision-making skills
🧋 The ability to say, “These are my foster puppies,” every chance you get

What they need:
🏠 A foster home within 1.5 hours of Brookeville, MD
❤️ Someone willing to love them until they find forever homes

Knine Rescue provides supplies, support, and covers their expenses. You provide the couch they weren’t invited onto but will absolutely end up on.
