Knine Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to animal care and protection.

We are a private organization, run solely on donations. We assist shelters and other rescues (both in our area and out of our area alike), and take on word of mouth tasks. Our goal is to promote responsible animal ownership and to assume those responsibilities when others are unwilling or unable to do so. If you are in the DC, MD, or Northern, VA areas, we can assist you in selecting the right pet. Please ask us about pet selection and check out the animals currently in our adoption program – www.kninerescue.com. We are also available to assist you with any questions or problems you may have concerning your companion and we encourage you to contact us. Placing animals in new homes is a responsibility we take seriously. Our adoption program includes an application form, contract, home visit and adoption donation, used to fund our rescue operations. All persons interested in adopting a pet from us must read and complete the forms. Forms are found our website – www.kninerescue.com

Our Adoption Goals:
The purpose of our adoption program is to place an animal in a responsible home where it will:

* Receive veterinary care when needed
* Not add to the pet overpopulation problem
* Be controlled so it will not roam free in the neighborhood
* Be happy with its owner and the owner happy with the pet

🚨 EMERGENCY FOSTER NEEDED TODAY — ZOLA 🚨

Zola has raised her puppies. Now she needs someone to be there for her. ❤️

This four-year-old, small mixed-breed girl urgently needs a foster placement TODAY. Her days of caring for her babies are behind her, and she deserves a soft place to land while she waits for a forever family of her own.

We’re hoping someone reading this can open their home and give Zola the safety and stability she needs. Fostering is a chance to make an enormous difference in one little dog’s life—and today, Zola needs that chance.

Molly is an introvert.

She’s perfectly happy to attend the family gathering, say hello to everyone then quietly excuse herself to her favorite spot.

Molly is looking for a family who appreciates a girl with a lower social battery. She likes all dogs but we think a cat-free home is best (she’s a bit too curious).

Her ideal evening? A cozy home, her favorite humans, a comfy spot and absolutely no requirement to be the entertainment. ❤️🐾
