Let’s get real—shelter life can be tough.
Even in the most loving environment, it can be overwhelming for dogs who’ve already been through so much. Our team works tirelessly to provide comfort, stability, and affection, and with time, most dogs begin to blossom. We see tails wag, personalities shine, and trust start to build.
But for some of our long-term residents, like Frank, the stress can begin to take a toll.
Frank came to us as a stray, timid and fearful. With time and attention, he began to open up—trotting around the yard, nudging for affection, learning that humans can be kind. But lately, we’ve seen a shift. He’s withdrawn again, clearly needing the comfort of a stable, loving home.
Frank thrives in a calm, quiet environment where he can be your one and only. He’s not a fan of sharing his people with other pups, and he’s looking for someone who can offer him peace, patience, and plenty of cuddles.
Could you be that person?
Join us September 5–7 at our Fall for Love adoption event, hosted at our Adoption Center (14 Forever Friend Lane). Meet Frank—or one of our many amazing animals—and see what love looks like when it’s given the time and space to grow.
