Today (Wednesday) we will be closing at 6pm. We wil be closed on Thursday for thanksgiving and will reopen our normal hours on Friday. Happy thanksgiving!

UPDATE 8:50pm 11/10: We will be opening late tomorrow , Tuesday 11/11 to allow the roads to be safe for our staff and clients to travel on. We will be opening at 9am. UPDATE 7:30 pm 11/10: Tonight we will be getting staff out asap as conditions deteriorate on merrimon ave. Please check here prior to coming in tomorrow morning! We are keeping an eye on the roads but are planning to be open normal hours tomorrow (so far)! We will update here if that changes! Please call and let us know if you need to reschedule an appointment tonight or tomorrow morning!

Our pumpkin contest winner was pumpkin number 4! Alexis did a great job with her hocus pocus themed design! Happy Halloween!

Our RVTs and Assistants spent some time getting creative during tech week last week! Their painted/ decorated pumpkins are in the lobby through 10/31- please stop by and vote for your favorite!!!

Today we loaded up the griddle and cooked breakfast for our Veterinary Technician and Assistant teams! They’ve enjoyed activities all week including a food truck Monday, Build Your Own Sandwich day from our DVMs, Pumpkin Decorating Contest (pictures soon), movie day, wellness day with a local chiropractor, and a fun game of Veterinary The Price Is Right! Our PCT and ERT are amazing and deserve to be showered with thank you’s 365!

As we spend Tech Week celebrating all of our veterinary nursing staff, please feel free to leave shout outs below for our amazing Patient Care Team and Exam Room Team members! We would be lost without them!

We know today is a hard day for many of our clients and all of our staff. Western North Carolina has made tremendous progress towards recovery but we are nowhere near the finish line. Your AHNA team was happy and honored to be here taking care of our clients and other hospitals’ clients while they were unable to open. We are still honored to serve this community. We are watching the forecast for early next week, but whatever comes our way, we will be here to help! Stay safe, and hold your furry friends close!

Rabies Vaccines are not only required by NC state law, they are extremely important to keep both your animal and human family memebers safe! These can always be updated as quick tech appointments at AHNA!

We have had quite a few questions coming in about how to help the people and pets in Texas after the recent historic flooding. Clinics local to the flooding all recommended . We suggest donating directly to them if you are able.
We’ve been through the same thing and know how far a little help can go!
