Calling all soccer fans, one of our doctors is on her second trip to an amazing school in Jinja, Uganda called Rays of Grace. When she visits she tries to take new/used soccer cleats/shin guards for the students. If you have any cleats (child or adult size) you’re not using and you would like to donate them to this school, please drop them off at the clinic before 9/16 and she will be sure they get good use! Adding a veterinary professional associate role would be a dangerous shortcut and hurt the quality of care for our pets.

Proposition 129 is a dangerous initiative on Colorado's November election ballot. It raises serious concerns about providing quality care for our patients now and long into the future. This proposition would allow non-veterinarians, known as veterinary professional associates (VPAs), the ability to diagnose, prognose, create treatment plans, and perform surgery. Rather than creating a new midlevel position for which there is no demand, no validated third-party test to ensure competency of candidates, and no accreditation, we can more efficiently leverage veterinary technicians, veterinary technologists, and veterinary technician specialists to the top of their degrees, and provide the pay and recognition they deserve. As individuals and as a profession we want the best for our pets! Please vote NO.
