🐾 Online Dog Training & Shop The Good Walker Leash Puppies and dogs are fully integrated into our daily life, learning basic commands (such as “sit”, “leave it”, “off” and “place” and working around distractions. We also cover kennel (crate) training, potty training and socialization around children and

other dogs. We take great pride in the integrity of our program that has been developed from years of work with our dogs and our clients’ dogs. We believe in providing your puppy or dog with a safe, clean and secure home environment that offers them exercise, gentle discipline and tons of affection.

Meet Trixie our Doodle Ambassador!

Born on March 14, 2024, this mini girl has a stunning, chenille-soft, non-shedding fleece coat. She’s the perfect size at an estimated 12-14 lbs when fully grown small enough to fit under the front seat of an airplane but big enough to fill your heart with love!

She’s bright, sweet, and incredibly smart. While she can be a bit shy at first, once she warms up, her fun-loving personality shines through. This confident little adventurer is equally happy keeping up with your busy day as she is curled up on your lap for a cozy binge-watch session. And her love for people? Absolutely unmatched she thrives on human connection!

Legendary Lineage Runs in Her Blood
This amazing girl hails from the remarkable Loveable Labradoodles breeding program. Her father, Harrison, is the grandson of the legendary Benjamin, whose exceptional temperament and charm started it all! I've had the privilege of training generations of Benjamin’s progeny, each as impressive as the last. Her mother, Maura, comes from a line of extraordinary mothers known for their intelligence, kindness, and stellar temperament.

Purpose-driven activities are essential for your dog’s mental and physical well-being. These activities channel your dog’s energy into positive behaviors, promoting fitness, focus, and confidence.

1. Agility Exercises:
Agility courses (like jumping or weaving) improve fitness and coordination while focusing your dog’s mind. It builds obedience and strengthens your bond.

Benefit: Boosts fitness and confidence.
Tip: Start slow and increase difficulty.

2. Obedience Drills—While You Play
Practicing basic commands (sit, stay, come) in the middle of your play keeps your dog mentally engaged and reinforces communication, self-discipline and self-control. For example, make your dog down before you toss the ball!

Benefit: Enhances obedience and focus but the dogs just feels like it’s play.
Tip: Keep sessions short and positive.

3. Scent Games:
Hide treats or toys to encourage your dog to use their nose, offering mental stimulation and promoting problem-solving.

Benefit: Stimulates the mind and reduces anxiety.
Tip: Increase difficulty as your dog improves.

4. Interactive Toys:

For most dogs, a gentle scratch under the chin is usually appreciated. 🐶

For most dogs, a pat on the top of the head is NOT appreciated--although often tolerated.

Slow petting, similar to gentle massage or light scratching, can calm a dog down.

Place your hand on an area where the dog enjoys being handled and gently move your hand or fingers in the same direction the fur grows. 🫲

I think the greatest praise we can ever give our dogs is to take the time to notice what kind of touch they actually enjoy.

Let’s set our dogs up for success by being mindful about when we touch our dog and by considering the kind of touch that is beneficial to their state of mind. 💕
