We also cover kennel (crate) training, potty training and socialization around children and

other dogs. We take great pride in the integrity of our program that has been developed from years of work with our dogs and our clients’ dogs. We believe in providing your puppy or dog with a safe, clean and secure home environment that offers them exercise, gentle discipline and tons of affection.

👉 Be the example.

This is where the magic happens. Real training isn’t about listening when nothing is happening—it’s about making good choices when distractions are everywhere.

Our older dogs are learning that calmness is a skill, patience is a superpower, and sometimes the hardest job is doing absolutely nothing. 🐾

At camp, we spend so much time building trust, confidence, and connection. Sometimes the best sign that you’re doing it right isn’t a perfect sit or a flawless recall…

If your dog growls over food… freezes at the bowl… or snaps when another dog comes close…

That can feel scary.

But here’s something important to understand:

👉 Food guarding is NORMAL dog behavior.

That does NOT make your dog bad, dominant, or “trying to take over.”

It means they feel the need to protect something valuable.

And honestly?
Many food issues get WORSE because humans handle them the wrong way.

Please don’t:
❌ stick hands in bowls
❌ randomly take food away
❌ physically challenge the dog

That often creates MORE tension… not less.

Instead:
👉 let dogs eat in peace
👉 feed dogs separately in multi-dog homes
👉 create calm structure around food
👉 teach “trade” instead of conflict

One of the BEST things you can teach a dog is:
“When humans come near my food… GOOD things happen.”

Dogs usually whisper before they scream.
Growling is communication.

The goal is not to “win” against your dog.
The goal is to build safety, trust, and calm leadership so they no longer feel they must defend themselves.

Because safe, sane, civilized dogs don’t happen by accident.
