Day after day she shows up, puts in the work, and chooses calm, neutrality, and engagement—even when the environment is loud, exciting, and full of distractions.
She’s not just my dog, she’s my proof.
Proof that consistency matters.
Proof that structure creates freedom.

She started off a little higher energy (new smells, people, carts, sounds 👀), and that’s exactly why we’re here.
We’re working on generalizing neutrality — teaching her that new environments aren’t automatically rewarding.
No greeting everyone.
No self-rewarding off the environment.
Just calm, focused, and engaged with me 💪🧠
This is how dogs learn to make good choices everywhere, not just at home or in the yard.
Consistency + repetition + lots of different locations = real-life reliability 🔁✨
Progress over perfection. Always 🐕💚

Extended PLACE in public isn’t just about staying still…
It’s about teaching a dog how to exist calmly in a world full of rewards 🧠✨
People walking by 🚶‍♂️
Dogs passing 🐕
Smells, sounds, excitement everywhere 🔊👃
And still choosing neutral behavior.
This is one of my favorite practice tools because it teaches dogs how to self-regulate, build impulse control, and stay grounded even when everything around them is screaming “GO!” 💥
Neutral doesn’t mean shut down.
It means confident, calm, and in control 💪🐾
