❤️ Generations of pets. Generations of trust. Since 1951. Berry Animal Hospital was established in 1952 by Dr. T.C. His son, Dr. William T.

Berry Animal Hospital is located in Ardmore, Alabama and has been serving the community's veterinary needs for over 50 years. Dr. Berry and his staff are very knowledgeable and are committed to providing excellent care for your pets. They can take care of everything from exams, surgical services, boarding, and even offer on site cremation for your cherished departed pets. Berry who was a graduate of Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Berry continued the practice in 1975 after graduating also from Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine and the retirement of his father. The practice originated in downtown Ardmore until it was moved to its present location in 1978. The original practice began in a rural community predominantly treating large animals. Due to continuing growth and changes within the community, Berry Animal Hospital now serves more companion animals with limited large animal treatment. The modern day practice offers many diagnostic tools to give your pets the best possible care.

Who’s been bringing their pets to Berry Animal Hospital the longest? 👇 BEFORE ELVIS WAS THE KING… WE WERE ALREADY CARING FOR ARDMORE’S PETS! 🎸😂

Let’s rewind the clock! ⏰

📺 1951: I Love Lucy premiered, gas was around 27 cents a gallon, and Elvis hadn’t even released his first record!

Fast forward nearly 75 YEARS…

The cars have changed, the hairstyles have definitely changed, and veterinary medicine has come a LONG way! 😂

❤️ Almost 75 years in Ardmore. Still caring for our neighbors and their four legged family members!

🚨 Signs to watch for:
🐾 Excessive drooling
🐾 Pawing at the mouth
🐾 Difficulty eating or chewing

A few bladder stones. A small lump. Things that may not seem like a big deal at first can sometimes become much more serious.

The stones pictured were surgically removed. The growth on the leg was found to be cancerous and ultimately required amputation of the entire leg.

Did you know? Lumps, bumps, changes in urination, blood in the urine, straining, or other small changes are always worth mentioning to your veterinarian.

See something? Say something. Let us take a look.

THREE CRUCIATE SURGERY OPTIONS, NOW AVAILABLE! 🙌

When a dog tears a cruciate ligament, there isn’t one surgical approach that is right for every patient. We now offer three different cruciate repair procedures:

🔹 Lateral Imbrication
🔹 TTA
🔹 TPLO

Our veterinary team will evaluate your dog’s size, age, activity level, knee stability, and overall health to recommend the procedure best suited to their individual needs.

If your dog is limping, struggling to stand, or refusing to use a back leg, call us to schedule an orthopedic evaluation.

More options. Individualized care. Advanced surgery close to home.

🇺🇸 CLOSED FOR LABOR DAY 🇺🇸

But do you know why we celebrate Labor Day?

🔨 The first Labor Day celebration was held in New York City on September 5, 1882, when thousands of workers participated in a parade honoring America’s workforce.

🇺🇸 In 1894, Labor Day officially became a national holiday, observed on the first Monday in September.

💼 The holiday was created to recognize the social and economic contributions of American workers and the role they have played in building our country.

We hope our team, clients, and community enjoy a safe and restful Labor Day weekend!

We’ll see you Tuesday! 🇺🇸🐾
