Not every dog is the right fit for every home and that’s okay. ❤️

One thing I’ve learned through boarding is that a dog can be an absolutely wonderful dog while still not being the right fit for our family or home environment.

Just like people have different personalities, so do dogs. Some thrive in certain settings, while others are happier in a different routine or with a different type of care. Saying a dog isn’t a good fit isn’t a judgment on the dog or their owner, it’s simply recognizing that every dog has unique needs and every boarding environment is different.

At Ruff House, our goal is to provide a safe, low stress environment for every dog in our care. Sometimes that means recognizing when a dog’s needs don’t align with what we can realistically provide. Making that decision is never easy, but it’s always made with the dog’s well-being and the safety of everyone in mind.

Thank you to all of our amazing clients for trusting us with your pups and for understanding that every decision we make is based on creating the best experience possible for every dog who stays with us. 🐾❤️
