💛 Remembering our sweet boy, Morty 💛
Some dogs become such a familiar, loved part of your days that they are forever woven into the fabric of DDG. Morty was absolutely one of those dogs.
Morty joined our DDG family as a puppy in 2017, and we had the privilege of watching him grow into the sweetest, most lovable Golden Retriever. At just 9 years old, he still had so much life ahead of him. He was truly a gem, and having him here was always a pleasure.
Recently, Morty spent another day with us, playing with his friends like he had countless times before. That very evening, his family got some awful news and they had to say goodbye far too soon. The suddenness of his loss has been heartbreaking for his family and all of us who knew and loved him here.
Morty had some pretty special friendships at DDG, especially with Ivy, Louie, and Moose. Their families even coordinated visits so the friends could spend time together! And we can't forget his Halloween costume contest appearances, where he earned himself a few wins along the way. 🎃
Chris & Meg, we are so incredibly sorry for the loss of your sweet boy. Thank you for sharing Morty with us for all these years & allowing us to be part of his life. He was part of so many of our days here, and we will miss seeing his sweet face more than you know.
Run free, Morty. Thank you for the years of memories, the friendships, and all the joy you brought to DDG. You were one very special boy. 💛🌈
