Meet a new face to the page. Cody the cavalier born 11/7/24. 27 lbs.
Happy social guy who loves everyone.
Short version of the story and no negative comments please. I did what I thought was the right decision to make at that time.
1. Picked up Cody from a very small cavalier breeder. No kennel. They hang out on the farm. Been there twice in the
Past. He has no more cavaliers.
Wanted to find a pet home for this last cavalier named Cody. Yes I will take him.
I pick him up and schedule him for a nice dental cleaning, NEUTER, vacs etc.
I notice he has no manhood parts. He must be cryptorchid which means they never dropped.
Vet gets him on the table and finds a small scar at potential neuter area. They mark him as neutered, clean teeth etc.
I call breeder and say HEY you didn’t tell me you had Cody neutered!!!!
He said. I didn’t neuter him.
I start asking a lot of questions.
Did you sell him long ago and he was returned? NO. He has been here since the day he was born.
Did you give him to a family member and then was returned? NO He has been here since the day he was born.
Did he ever run off and return weeks or months later? NO
Has he ever ran off and returned a day or so later? Yeah that could have happened. 🤯
I told him that Cody has a neuter scar.
He said he did not neuter him but said a random
Neighbor could have. 🤯🤯🤯
I told him that makes no sence. No random neighbor is going to neuter some random cavalier that ends up in their yard. A cat yes but a cavalier ummm no.
Since many farm dogs can have multiple
Bumps, bruises, scars - it could have been possible that neuter area scar was just a random scar from farm
Dog life.
So Cody went in for abdominal explore to find that YES HE WAS NEUTERED.
So yes some random neighbor had that boy neutered. Turned him
Out loose and he ran back home.
