We all hope that our four legged friends will never get hurt. But you can never be too prepared when it comes to an emergency. One of my favorite training exercises this weekend was a rather simple one that can be done anywhere. Training our dogs to lay down and be calm on a stretcher. If you don’t have access to a stretcher (lets be real, most of us don’t usually have one on hand all the time), training your dog to be calm while being carried in someone’s arm or by a harness could make the difference between life and death.
