Meet Fiona, our Howl-O-Ween Queen!

The crown is cute, but the girl wearing it is even better!

Fiona is a bubbly, bunny-hopping cuddlebug who loves treats, sunbathing, and attention. She's always up for some fun or a good cuddle!

She's won the crown, but now we're hoping she'll win a forever home.

We have a Howl-O-Ween Queen!

The votes are in, and Fiona is our costume contest winner!

She entered as Rainbow Brite, but now she's traded the wild pink hair for a crown. We think she's pretty happy with her new title!

Thank you to everyone who voted and joined in the fun!

Now we just need to find our queen a home of her own.

Cosmo decided to join in on the Halloween fun, and we think he makes a pretty cute little dragon!

This sweet senior was a good sport about dressing up, and we couldn't resist giving him his own little Dragon Tales moment.

Now we're just hoping Cosmo's next adventure takes him somewhere even better than Dragon Land — a home of his own.

Tigger is moonlighting as Batman!

Our cats didn't want to be left out of the Halloween fun, so Tigger decided to take on the role of Gotham's cutest crime fighter!

He may not be saving Gotham City, but he's ready to steal someone's heart.

Help our little superhero find his forever home!

These are some of the faces that greet us every day.

The goofy ones, the quiet ones, the ones who can't wait to get outside, and the ones who just want a little extra attention.

We get to know their personalities, their favorite things, and all the little quirks that make them special.

And every day, we hope someone else will get the chance to know them, too.

There are so many wonderful dogs here waiting for someone to give them a chance.

Meet them at www.calhouncountyhumane.com

Hot diggity dog! It's Harvey!

Harvey is joining our Howl-O-Ween contest dressed as a hot dog, and we can't get over that smile!

He was more than happy to show off his costume, and we think he makes a pretty adorable hot dog.

Of course, what we'd really love is to see Harvey smiling like this in a home of his own.

Voting ends October 29, and we'll announce our winner October 30!

Beyond the Costume: Meet Some of the Dogs Behind the Fun!

We've had so much fun sharing our Howl-O-Ween contestants, from silly wigs to some pretty questionable costume choices!

But behind every costume is a dog with a personality all their own.

Meet Astro, Sinatra, Carol, and Ziggy, just a few of the wonderful dogs waiting for homes at our shelter.

Some are goofy and playful, some are a little more laid-back, but every one of them has something special to offer.

Only one dog will be crowned our Howl-O-Ween winner, but we're hoping they'll all get a chance to win something even better: a family of their own.
